I'm not much of a lip reader, but I've seen a lot of F bombs from Jackson and Harbaugh.

Greatest Events of WWII in Colour on Netflix is quite good. Wife and I watched several episodes today, definitely recommend it.

I guess Jackson doesn't get the MVP then?

Also, the weather is moderate. It's a bit pricey, but not ridic.

We also really like CO, but the Denver area is too big these days, and most of the rest is a bit small. Still, the Springs is on our list. My sinuses don't love the dry air, and the poker scene isn't the best, but it checks pretty much all the other boxes. We've also discussed Minneapolis/St. Paul, which we both really like as a city, but the weather is a bit too swingy, and the traffic level is iffy.

Who knows? We might end up in a lot of different places. Only things I'm a hard pass on are the East Coast metro-sprawl of doom, or any area with a meth-kitchen based economy.
Garick,

Try to get assigned to Davis-Monthan in Tucson - you could probably get some sort of gig at UofA when you retire and we could use another reg in the 2-5-10 game . Nice small city imo though the air is a little dry I suppose. It is on re of the few if not the only 2-5 games I know of with a time charge (7/half hour) as opposed opposed to to pot rake.

Come to the ATL bruh! We may even have poker by then.

Have under 9 years (if all goes according to plan) until retirement. No idea where I will land after. Delaware (no state income tax) is a possibility. Charleston, SC high on the list also. May stay here but if so will move farther out/away from the congestion.

And who'd have though, Tucson has a ski place.

Btw that skiiers forum Skquid linked, it's a hoot to read about Portland&Seattle being idyllic places to have fun at reasonable prices; the threads being 12 yrs ago.

Played in the most ridiculous lollive tournament structure

Made the 10-handed final table, 9 of 50 paid, had 200k at 15k/30k (30k bb ante) and was 3rd in chips. Leader had under 300k

One player tank-folded to a 2.4 BB shove on the big blind and she might have been right to do so (she winced when she looked at her cards and she was still 7th in chips with 3BB -- ended up cashing so good for her)

I wasn't sure how I would adjust to that if I got to the point where ICM mattered -- I busted in 7th and the real pay jumps started at 5th. Like if you're 2nd with 6bb, leader has 8bb, and the rest are on 2-4bb... Well, problem is you're still too shallow to fold your way up the ladder. I guess you tighten up against all-ins ahead of you but still shove your normal range.

In other news, water is a little wet.

I've been to DM for some training, and I like Tucson, but that's a freaking desert. Plus the pizza place that was my all time fave and got me to swing by Tucson for a meal whenever I was within a couple hours drive closed down.

Yeah, Atlanta traffic. No thanks. I've heard great things about Asheville NC's beer scene, and it's pretty close to Harrah's Cherokee for poker, but have yet to make a visit. Charlotte is also supposed to be a great beer city too, and a bit bigger than Asheville, but further from poker.

How can you NOT move to Nola? Limit hold 'em games are off da hook and there's a hot dog stand inside the casino. No brainer imo

tbh Asheville is tough to beat. You should visit and see for yourself.

Love, love, love NOLA. The heat and humidity is rather extreme, but it always just makes us happy to be there, so it's on the list. Forgot to mention it.

Is this recent? I lived in C-Springs from 2010-2014 and never experienced any significant traffic issues except Monument Hill if it had snow on it.

Weird thing about C-Springs, it seemed like everything was 20 minutes from everything else. Just going down the street to a restaurant? 20 minutes. Driving from the NW side of town to the airport on the SE side? 20 minutes.

Hindsight being 2020, there's nowhere you could've moved that wouldn't lead to craft beer and traffic.

Not sure about around town but I know getting to c-springs from where I am sucks. Plus that other a$$hole lives around those parts

G-

1. Sample size of three midweek days in 2017. Had to drive both morning/evening rush hours.

2. I've been living in small "big cities" for the better part of 25 years. I would classify CS as the same. And traffic was worse than where I have lived.

I love football, but with Michigan disappointing almost every season, along with the Lions, and Michigan great Brady out of the playoffs along with Jim Harbaugh's brother out, I'm having a very difficult time watching the playoffs. Holy shite on the preceding run on sentence, by the way. Side question - why are swear words censored? We're all adults here.

We're not necessarily all adults here. Kids are welcome on 2+2, though very few of them are likely playing LLSNL.

Alright guys, just type and if the censor not gets it, it dies. Don't go out of your way to get naughty words past with weird spellings or whatever.
