Its totally absurd. The Big Ten botched this season every step of the way. I have always been in the minority in that whenever any Big Ten team was in contention for a title I've always rooted for them. When Big Ten teams are winning its good for everyone else in the conference. My dad would frequently be mad at me for rooting for Ohio State in playoff games or big non-conference games.

However, this year I want the Big Ten to get punished for how badly they screwed this up. I also think its insane how much money college football makes on the backs of what are essentially overworked, unpaid interns (read: slaves). So **** the money, I could care less that the Big Ten loses out on that money. They deserve it for how badly they've managed all of this.

The ESCO I work for is making a big push into water and waste water projects. Really interesting stuff imo.

College football players may be underpaid relative to the profits they generate. But they are not slaves, serfs, or interns in any sense. Maybe they are like the most uppity manor house servants, but even they didn't get free college.

Underpaid? They aren't paid at all. The whole student-athlete nonsense is just a facade. Arian Foster wasn't allowed to major in the hard sciences because it was too rigorous to finish in 4 years and do football at the same time so he had to pick an easier, less useful major.

I had classes with football players at Wisconsin. In several cases they missed more than half of the classes throughout the year. One guy's final project, which was a speech, was a complete joke and it was obvious that in addition to missing classes, he did nothing whatsoever on his own time to make up for it. Some of them just don't like school or can't keep up academically because they wouldn't get in if they weren't athletes, but in a lot of cases they want to do better, they just don't have time with games and mandatory meetings/workouts often conflicting with classes. Guess which one they have to go to if there's a conflict? The "free education" everyone always spouts about that these kids are getting is utterly useless because the system sets them up to fail academically.
