Lol. I had an "oh snap!" moment and then I realized I've played 1/3 of my hands @ 1/2 so far this month. "Oh snap!" turned into "Doh!" :-)

Actually, I thought maybe I would see him @ 3/6 (or 5/10). I really know nothing about him.

I really prefer FR, but I think the trend will continue towards 6max, so it's good to be comfortable with. There really aren't enough 3/6+ FR games (esp the hours I play) "if" we progress further. A big *if* in my case. :-)

lol was really meant as an insult although it def reads like that. more of I can't imagine you trying out 6max at 2.5x the stakes that you normally play in FR.

My girlfriend and I are booking trip to Vegas. Any suggestions on where to stay? Ive only been there once and stayed at Harrahs. We are going with other people that are more conscious about money than most of us on 2p2 so somewhere thats relatively cheap would be good.

If you have stayed at harrahs and have one of their players cards go to their website and enter your card number. I played some roulette at a Harrah's casino before and ever since then Ive always got what is normally a cheap room even cheaper or free. I think I stay at like Harrah's or imperial for free now and its like half off to stay at ceasers.

You can also get the poker rate at either the wynn or venetian which are both really nice. I know the venetian's poker rate is like $199 a night and I want to say that the wynn is a tad bit less. I never care much where I stay when I go only because I usally go by myself and I never stay in the damn room anyways.

I stayed at the imperial last time which is prob comparable to like a holiday inn, but it was $20 a night and walking distance to venetian, harrahs, mirage, bellagio, ceasers, wynn, and a few other casinos. Imperial is like a step down from harrahs but it just so cheap and its center strip.

They give you a discount if you agree to play x amount of poker a day. I wanna say its like 4 or 6 or something.

Stay at Bill's IMO. It has better rooms than Harrah's, is appealing to low-rollers, and is closer to the Bellagio poker room.

When I was younger, my best friend + I woulf go to Vegas all the time and play blackjack. Sorta like the guy from the Hangover, with the World's Greatest Blackjack book (that's a good book btw). :-) Before we started getting all of our stuff comped at the nicer hotels, we didn't have a lot of money and we stayed at a bunch of places, and found that staying in the cheaper places on the Strip (at the time Excalibur and Tropicana) was usually not the best decision. The rooms/hallways smelled like smoke, it felt like there were fleas on the beds and generally gave a "busto" feel to the vacation. You're on vacation, so spend the extra few bucks a night and stay somewhere you're looking forward to going. Also, a lot of the nicer places have really low rates on the weekdays, so think about staying at a cheap place peak and nice place offpeak (preferably at the end of the vacation).

Also, I hear there are some condos on the strip. If you're going for a week, look into renting a condo. www.vrbo.com. I'm guessing hotel rooms are cheap now, but with the real estate crash, a rental could be cheaper.
