I think the shot taking will go better if we're also taking shots. Lol.

Anyway we can wait for The Dinner till the 31st? The thread chef would like to sit down to eat with you hooligans and I don't get in till the 31st.

Every hour everyone must check in:

Either you're taking a shot a game higher than you normally play.
Or you take a shot determined by the group.

Also, I second the dinner on the 31st. I don't get in until 10pm local on Friday.

There's a conference room at Harrah's that will soon be known as the Crime Scene Room.

put me in red, just booked. No way I could miss this.

Looks like you may have another OMC in the group - looking into bookings tomorrow.

For anyone who stays on we are going to plan the 2nd DGAF invitational drinking game for June 26th at Hard Rock.

It will be good seeing you again. Let me know and I will red you.

So I've never been to Vegas, and I'd love to avoid spending more than 1k total aside from poker games, but this sounds like something I probably don't want to miss out on if it's a one-time deal.

I mean, it's not going to be a yearly thing, right?

I booked flight + hotel for $900 out of vancouver (airplane tax is very large in canada) so that budget sounds totally doable

i mean there's daily expenses too but i'm just naively assuming i am going to make that back from the pokers.

if you're gonna go now is the time to book because the closer you get the more expensive everything becomes

I think that I would be out there for a few more days than you, but we could split the time you are there.

Just for reference Are you looking for the:
1 per bed, two total for the room approach?
or
3-4 people per bed, 2 on the floor in sleeping bags, 1 on the chair, and two passed out in the bathroom, all splitting the cost approach?
If I go, I'd be down for a partial split, like I stay till Wednesday or something, and we figure out the appropriate $$ amount.

I would definitely want 1 per bed, two per room. If someone wanted to tag along to sleep on the floor with a sleeping bag to make everything cheaper for us, I would not be opposed.

...The more I think about this trip the more awesome it sounds, which is funny cause before my bink on monday I wasn't even considering it. Sure hope I don't have crappy months April and May.

Edit: so where is all the action happening? Harrah's, Venetian, and Rio? And apparently staying at Harrah's is more expensive than I thought, but okay. I guess I got spoiled by seeing prices for hotels that weren't on the strip.

Dude, Allegiant Air out of Bellingham is the only way to go to Vegas.

I seriously doubt it. I mean, there may be some less publicized meetups in the future, but I doubt anything like this will happen again. This is a special trip filled with all sorts of magic.

Harrah's is just the central location. I think we will be spending a bulk of our time at the Venetian (and the Rio). I'm sure there will be Aria, Caesars, and a few others too.

Yeah, 900 sounds like a lot, even for two people, unless you are going for more than a week and/or staying at a hotel nicer than harrahs

Harrah's for Friday afternoon - Sunday morning (10 days or whatever) was like $1,000 or so. Resort fee's of $18 per day (not night stayed, per day) make up 20% of that stupid cost.
