I wouldn't trust that. Even if he was being nice, he might lie just to make you feel better. He would make you feel worse if he told you that he got you off a set that was crushing him.

This is such an easy call when you look at pot odds and ranges.

Don't do that. This is often driven by ego and in this case will just make you look super nitty. I'm sure some people thought you were super nitty instead of super lucky when you made that fold.

I've seen lots of OMC types just call before the flop even with KK and AA. With QQ and JJ it's even more likely IMO. Even I'm not totally comfortable with those hands so I'd expect some OMC types to play them passively.

Let's not get too caught up in the exact number. V started the hand with 175. So he can't put 125 over 45 = 170 in on the turn as he has already put 30 into the pot. Whatever the exact correct math, the odds will be too good to fold.

If you just never fold a set for 100bb you will win a lot of cash.

I would have to have a sick read to fold but even with one your odds are almost right to hit a full house. With all the hands he might have its a great board to bluff on since any card that looks like like a straight or an Ace (even a king) is a steel spot. With that said fold if you hate winning in the long run.
Also why show? It's the checked flag for telling everyone to run over you.

Flop lead of $20 into 4 opponents with pot of $50 is weak imo. Lead more.

As played, folding is just MUBSY. As stated, there are plenty of hands we beat.

I could EASILY see V lying when he reassured you of good laydown. I know I'd certainly want to encourage you to day down your monster every time.

So there's this OMC at my local casino. We are talking the nittiest of nits. Will limp call KK, and check call $5 bets all 3 streets with an overpair on a paired board. I would expect him to play AA,KK,QQ and even JJ like this 100% of the time on this board.
