Still feel like pope and HB overestimate how ungood games are* sometimes. But maybe that's just because I missed the heyday of live juiciness and have no frame of reference.

*underestimate? Feh, think games are worse than they are.

I don't think english is very good at conveying things sometimes

I dont disagree with that assessment, just saying that truly bad 20 games are somewhat of a rarity in my experience, but I could see how they would look awful if you were used to the 7 way 3b pf games of like, four years ago (because in comparison, they do suck).

Or, to put another way: you can still have a good game even if it has a couple of winning or break even players in it.

I suspect a big part of it is that you play better than they do. This is not a dig at HB/pope, I suspect ILR plays better than me.

It turns out that the gang in LV was camera shy or something. I have two dozen pictures of a chipmunk. I have zero pictures of HOWMANY, SurfDoc, Babar, and company.

I'm the first to give props to ILR, she plays great. But when talk of a 20 mix game at CAZ comes up my response is the same based on history. It's always been a choice of the HORSE games and attract few randoms and therefor never lasts long. I don't think CAZ will allow games like TD or Badugi at the 20 level which is too bad bec that's likely the lowest limit I can play those games at until online is back.

They won't, or rather they wouldn't six months ago (I asked). I actually agree that there probably isn't enough interest in the 20 player pool to keep a mix going, and you have secondary concerns about game health. At the 20 the overall playerpool may be large enough to have both games, but you don't want to end up in the position where a 20 Holdem game can't go because it might break the mix game. Holdem is still the game that brings many of the midstakes players into the casino, and not having a game for them play would just be a disaster.

Also I think you guys are kinda overselling me, lol, but thanks?
