BRAG POST

Dont worry. Ive been dedicating my time playing CRED tournaments to see how many seats I can get to big events. So far I have burned 26,000 and have managed to get a seat in a 6000 cred tourny.

With that said, I do give lessons....Let me warn you, they are quite expensive.

I don't believe I implied that it was just some power-trip whim but rather that it was possibly unfounded or at the very least misdirected based on customary and reasonable privacy policies and related procedures.

It was a decision made by the admins on the advice of 2+2's lawyers.
Leave it to the lawyers to advise that public information should be treated as private. I can hear them now, "But what if one of these Yahoo! Personals sluts sees that a 2+2 forum is linking to their public profile and that members of the 2+2 community are making fun? 2+2 might get sued! zOMFG!!!"

Anything that can be seen/heard or otherwise accessed reasonably easily by the general public clearly isn't private. Any information that was knowingly and willingly provided to a forum or other medium that does not afford any protection of privacy was provided without expectation of same. Therefore, while treating such information as private is certainly within the discretion of management, it doesn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense and is therefore a huge turn-off to the more intelligent or otherwise sensible members of the community. It is also probably very inconsistent which is in itself a much larger liability. No, I'm not a lawyer, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night...

I understand and respect the need for moderators in any public forum, topic-sensitive or not. I've both hosted and moderated a lot of forums over the years. But WTF do I know.

Back to poker... Anyone have any new/updated information about the AP+UB=CEREUS time line? Anyone ever figure out what happened to Anechka? Anyone slow-play monsters pre-flop when 3-bet by an OOP TAG? Anyone ever cold-cap 78s or 89s OTB in a 5-6h game?

It would be good to remember at a time like this that 2+2 is not primarily a poker discussion forum. It's a publisher. Thus, it's going to take a conservative view of these matters because it has a lot more to lose in litigation and little to gain by allowing anything questionable.

Pretty standard sometimes.

It seems like there would be extremely few cases in which this would be good.

I'm seeing some regs @ [insert non-AP site name here] do it. Of course I only get to see what they had when they showed down and took a monster pot.

The only relevant legal point is that even an unfounded lawsuit can cost a business a lot of money.

There are many sites on the internet where creepy people can be creepy. 2+2 is not interested in being one of them. Bad for business. Bad for karma.

The offtopic material in this thread is strictly an indulgence. Tolerance doesn't extend to malicious behavior or hurting innocent people.

anechka played ok afaik. Delish just strives to make the worst possible play at every opportunity.

I thought at first that they were the same person but after a while I thought that anechka played much better (or tougher) postflop. Although maybe anechka just got luckier than delish and it made her look good.

I miss her... I still think she became Bob Marley... The reason is she was always near the top of her rakeback site. Then the month she left Bob Marley appeared near the top and they both played with that blind aggression. I miss check calling to the river after a 3 bet pre flop with king high scooping big pots...

How is Bob Marley that high on the rakeback site...I see him once every couple of months...when does he play?

He isnt anymore but he came out of no where the month after Anechka disappeared and was near the top for a few months. Now I don't see him/her anymore. Of course Anechkas crazy gut shot caps could have finally busted her... I doubt that because she was a gut shot magnet.... I also miss her funny chat... She always repeated herself... Tell her NH and you get TYTY lol

This thread needs props. 40 cents/post should be enough to kickstart it.

What we must not lose sight of is we are now less than 400 replies from usurping the Stars thread.

In the spirit of poker related content, I thought these PSA videos were pretty amusing. The first video you see, #6. "Pornography Will Literally Destroy Civilization", is my personal favorite.

On an OT subject, this morning AVG had moved the AP client to the virus vault on both of my computers.

I was sure that my accounts had been hacked & emptied, especially when I was unable to restore them.

I was sure I had trashtalked the wrong donk & he was some kind of tecnogeek.

Anyone else ever have that happen to them?

Never had it happen. But my favorite part about this post is the "on an OT subject"...this whole thread is an OT subject.

Surprisingly, AP has pretty good security. Its pretty unlikely that your accounts were emptied.

Yeah they were fine.

When I restored the AP client from the Virus Vault, I still couldn't get in & that was the scary part.

After I rebooted it was fine.

Palo - I was just being polite, like my mommy taught me.

I requested a ppayout almost 2 weeks ago via a Courier check which is supposed to get to me within 3-5 business days. I called yesterday and they told me that they are having problems with their payment processor and cannot give me a timeline on when I can expect my check. Is there anyone else out there who has the same problem? Thanks.

I'm shocked..I've requested many checks from them and they always arrive within a few days.
