How is Uruguay possibly +195? Do people not watch the games? Do people just see the name Italy and assume it must be a favorite? Uruguay has to win. Lemme guess Silver had Uruguay at like 40 or 50% chance to win?

I really should have thought about starting my sports betting career with the world cup this here.

So I ran into a tight, yet randomly spazzy, tilter, who went on and on about how I hit a 3 outer and I suck at poker. I was up 50 bets yada yada so I says "Should I leave or post my big blind?" He replied with a hostile tone that could be heard several tables away, "I don't care WHAT you do!" So I says, "Ok I'll play." as I posted my blind.

Options for dealing with such a character? I'm pretty good at dealing with confrontations, but prefer to ignore hostile people.

Whatever people say about me, I agree it's true.

"That's why I love limit. I get to chase anything."

"I put you on (the exact hand they showed)."

"I knew I had X outs." (where X is at least 3-4 more than reality)

"I never get rivered ... because I'm never ahead on the turn! HAW HAW HAW HAW!"

"Suited."

"'Donkey' is offensive. We prefer the term 'skills impaired'."

I was playing OL 2/4 and opened ATo from the HJ. BB defended.

He donked the Q74tt flop. I called. Bet the blank turn. I called. Bet/called the A river. Showed A9.

Spent the next 5 minutes in chat talking w/ another player (40/15 stats mind you) about how dumb 2/4 players like me are and how we probably don't even know what pot odds are, ignoring the fact that I was probably calling because I thought I was good frequently. Obviously as he continued open limping UTG.

Funniest conversation I ever heard at a poker table was last week in 1500 limit even. Chatting with massive fish on my right who was playing limit for the first time ever and not great, as he's explaining this to the table he stops and asks another guy at the table if this is his first time playing limit holdem also? He was being completely serious and I thought it was hilarious.

A few years ago Jesse played in one and said his table was relatively tough. Did Jesse just run really bad in the table draw department, or has the event gotten weaker, or did/does Jesse have a terrible sense of what's bad?

tough draw. sometimes lots of good/at least tight limit holdem players get put at the same table.

FYI: when leaving or driving to Vegas from CA and you stop in Barstow for the Alien Jerky, colon cleaning hot is ridiculously hot. I'm someone that can eat the Orochon ramen #2 spicy. Maybe I'm drunk and ready to sleep though.

Belgium I laid mostly 121 some 130. Algergia all around +290. Ghana to win/draw is +270/+370

Ghana to win is only 2/3rds unit. Here. We. Go.
