Lockout AINEC

True. True fact is hair is only down during games. The rest of his life it's held together by industrial grade steel hair ties.

That's rough. I loved SF, but fit in best in the Midwest. I hate to say it but maybe Cleveland.

Aiyah. If dos and BJ are there the bike table. Else, probably google nerds by a nose simply because I see the bike crowd everyday.

If the question were Commerce rather than Bike, answer would be "Google AINEC."

I failed. The answer is Green Bay.

Your blog is quite goot. I still think that you should think seriously about compiling a lot of your posts and putting them into some sort of a book just for kicks. Hell Roy Cooke has done it with his CP articles several times. Your writing is much moar entertaining imo. Or at least keep compiling them and you will have a books worth at some point.

I'll eaven prufreed it four ewe

Mr 8888 I'd like to ask you a question.

Early on in your blog you mentioned that you were going to give up playing in your amateur poker league. You made it a goal to stop playing with them from what I can recall.

I have an amateur league that I play in - it's how i got my start in poker I guess. Its basically a 6$ rebuy turbo sng - if you can imagine how bad the playing is just by that description lol the players are - BAD.

But sometimes it's nice to get with the guys and shoot the **** and have some beers and talk trash... why is this bad for the aspiring LHE poker pro? If the time is allocated as bs downtime is this not a bad thing - or - do you think it's really bad for the growth of the LHE poker pro to be playing a stupid sng with bad players learning bad habits?

These guys are kind of my bros and have taken offense somewhat since I've gotten really serious about playing LHE (not to mention they all hate lhe cuz everyone always draws out on them lol) but I thought about what you said and have thought about quiting the league all together.

So I guess my tl;dr is why was it so -ev and important to not play amateur poker when you first got started if it was just going to be bs down time anyway? I think I can relate and see why but I guess I would like to hear it from you ... thanks man.

I only vaguely remember this phase, but am assuming I was thinking that I needed balance in my life and that I should spend fun time having fun, not playing more poker. Honestly I don't really agree with any of that anymore.

I mean balance is still good, but if you have fun playing home games with buddies play home games with friends.

No joke. Biggest impact player for our team. The numbers w/him vs. w/out him are simply staggering.

Even more recently, the numbers are much more telling. He is basically good for a turnover per game and untold numbers of sacks and stuffed runs.

If you had to bet real money, which would you bet on being more likely to happen in the next 10 years:

- Pirates lead the N.L. Central at the All-Star break.
- Steelers win the Superbowl.

Steelers and I don't think it's close.

Lay 3:1, if both happens, it is a push...

No push; one will definitely happen before the other. Superbowl's in winter, l,do, & All-Star break is in summer.

But it was quoted as which is most likely to happen in the next 10 years, not which will happen first.

So if neither happen in 10 years, push.

If one happens and the other doesn't, win.

If both happen in 10 years, regardless of how often for either, push.

The bet is which is more likely. Speaking as a Bayesian, if the Steelers win twice and the Pirates lead their division at the break once in 10 years, that's an indication that a Steelers win is more likely.

(I think "which will happen first" is a reasonable proxy for "which is more likely.")

Yeah, I worded it that way because I didn't want it to be exactly which would happen first (Steelers probably more likely), because I wanted Jesse to take into account the long term effect of how the organizations are managed.

I.e., salary caps etc. automatically balance the NFL over the long run more than the no cap in baseball. So we need to take into account how good the Pirates are right now, and whether they will be trending up or down in the next 10 years vs. the Steelers (who I presume will normalize to the mean over the next 10 years).

But the way MLB teams compete for players, the Pirates may have no chance in the future, as they basically have to trade away any player of value once other teams realize they're good.

BTW Jesse, I'll take the Pirates side if you lay me some odds. More just so I have somebody else to root for in the MLB (and also so I can root for the WORLD CHAMPION GREEN BAY PACKERS obviously).

Just no way I'm making any of these bets, and I think it's very likely that both teams remain at their current competitive level for the better part of the next decade. The Pirates are all but hopeless, the Steelers are a well run organization from top to bottom with a young(ish) QB and very young coach who could conceivably both still be in place in 2020. So long as Tomlin is around the off field transgressions will get better, not worse (Ben has already cleaned up his act, Hines will be retired in 3 years, Harrison will always be ******ed but whatever), where as the pirates have no reason not to continue to get worse.

Also the 10 year time frame is probably good for the Steelers, given that Manning could be done already and undoubtedly will be in 5 years, and there is no chance Brady has 10 years left in him.

Here, here.

Solids foundations for friendship are really important. For instance, I know that Hank wasn't party to our first meeting, but I gotta tell ya that a guy that smokes Camel non-filters, drinks and makes the big gamboool is gonna be my pal 'til I die.

Also, I wanna see him eat another one of those Aria cheeseburgers.

I have a question.. I'm an aspiring pro myself, being very passionate about the game and a consistent winner at LHE.. my question is how do you build your bankroll big enough to play in the type of games that you can support youself on.. the max amount of poker I can fit in a day is 4 or 5 hours because I work fulltime.. the biggest game near me is 4/8 with an occasional 5/10.. so I guess its a couple questions..

1. How do I build a large enough bank and life roll that I can start focusing solely on poker with my limited time and game structures (I'm 23 but married with a very supportive wife who sees and appreciates how hard I sttudy and dedicate myself to the game, so with a liferoll and bankroll moving to a juicer area is an option but not till I'm ready) how will I know when this time is..?

2. What realistic limit do I need to play at to earn a decent living (atm I make about 18-20k a year AFTER taxs, my wife makes prob 15k a year after and we live very comfortably apartment living ect..) if I could live the life I have now playing poker all would be perfect in my world.. (to give u an idea of my expeced decent living) so its not about earning 100k plus a year I just want to live comfortably doing something I love (plz take into account the fact ill want to be adding to my bankroll as well with my salary so take 20k a year and add 5k and that's whati would be ecstatic with...

Thanks for reading!
