i hear fish go crazy and play even worse after they win a BBJ, stay at that table! Or say "hey guys, let's all get a 40/80 table started just for us!" (or whatever is higher than the stakes you are playing)

btw i just read your last blog post and it makes me very happy that you linked an xkcd comic. I freaking love that webcomic.

That's the TABLE SHARE? Jebus.

So what happened?

And congrats.

First live Omaha hand ever.

I knuckle 8522 4-suited from the BB. 9-way.
Flop: K43tt. I check/call my OESD. 6-7 way.
Turn: Kr. It checks around.
River: 8r. It checks around. Someone shows a large pocket pair (JJ?). I muck.

And then 76 takes the low. Oh, right, the low. I forgot it was O8. FML.

Anybody got a record for win streaks live? I just broke my personal record: 10 session wins in a row, averaging 7hrs per session; won $4259 (averaging 54.54/hr)

I was up $4K on fulltilt in 2/4 and 3/6 games in 14 days before they turned off the faucet. I once had a $15K month at live 20/40.

OK. Tell all your friends. It looks like we get our money back. PS and FT have reached an agreement with DOJ allowing return of funds. Some of us can come back from the ledge.

Doug-

Cliffs on agreement?
04-20-2011 , 11:26 AM
DOJ:

Quote:
No individual player accounts were ever frozen or restrained, and
each implicated poker company has at all times been free to
reimburse any player's deposited funds. In fact, this Office
expects the companies to return the money that U.S. players
entrusted to them, and we will work with the poker companies to
facilitate the return of funds to players, as today’s agreements
with PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker demonstrate

Omfg yes!! My bankroll!

Summer went for ruined to going to be freaking awesome. Just need to work on my live play.

@swiftarrow. I used to like you, but rubbing your rungood all up in my face is over the line! the play in your 6/12 must be abysmal.

I think you should take some time this summer and come up to the SF Bay Area to see for yourself the games here.

I promise I won't stab you in the face.

careful calli, I may take you up on the offer.

In my experience, people just nit it up until they get their chips, and then leave

Bay Area in the summer is awesome. And reaper- the games are good, but swifttarrow runs great and plays @3am when all the drunks have been cut off and start capping with 69s pf.

I play in the afternoon when the 6/12 regs nit it up, sigh.

Not sure why I need to be careful, but I'm totally serious if you thought I was joking. It's an open invitation to anyone, really, on this forum who wants to either meet me and/or take my chippies.*

I don't have a lot of scheduled play time, but my schedule is pretty predictable ... lunchtimes, sometimes after work if I leave early, and the occasional evening when my wife works from home.

LOL I play at lunchtime when all the 30/60 pros are milling around waiting for 30/60 fish to show up, or deciding whether they can beat more out of the 30/60 regs or me at 15/30. I hate it when they choose to stay at 15/30, because it's like, "I've thought about this and have decided you're more than twice as bad as those guys over there."

But at least I can call ahead and sign myself up on the list now so I don't have to wait! (new policy for 15/30!)

Last friday when I was at table 8 a small war broke out at the 30 game over the list for the must move. It was hilarious to over hear.

The chip runner just shook her head and said: "they are a bunch of babies".

Edit: I thought the limes looked pretty grown up to me, :P

If there's a bet on the river, I instamuck, if it's any consolation.

Hey, I resemble that remark!

And at the same time, the 15-30 doesn't really have to be twice as good to be worth it, as some very smart person or other pointed out in a post about "variance traps" not too long ago.

Behind every war over the must-move list there is either a good player being taken away from the live ones or a live one being taken away from the good players.

I'm still tilted over the time when (name omitted, but it's homphonically close to the next level up from "bettor"), top of the list when the must-move 30-60 game was called down, stayed in the 15-30 for a couple of orbits before coming over. Now it was no longer a new game, and he gets his name put on the bottom of the must-move list, and I'm at the top, and I get yanked out of an excellent game and dumped into a really sucky one.

And if you are ever offered a prop bet of "Ask the next dealer after the push which game they'd rather deal, 1-2 or 30-60," take 1-2.

What's the average tip differential between the two games?

I'm thinking 6/12-15/30 might be the sweet spot. High enough so that some people tip $2 and are self-motivated to keep the game running smoothly, but not so high that people jockey for every edge.

Who will take the role of money laundry?
Isn't it still illegal for my bank to honor PS checks?
04-20-2011 , 05:35 PM
Not when they cut a deal with the DOJ, who has publicly stated that player cashouts aren't illegal. In fact, the DOJ believes that he sites are obligated to return all US player funds immediately.

Read your BLOG. My guess is that E{ROI} for JP drop to be maybe 75%. You are going pretty good. My ROI is 0% after > 1200 hours of play.
