Odd question but here's what I want to do - I'm using a 13 inch laptop so I don't really have the resolution for the tiling feature, but when FT comes back I want to put PS and FT (and maybe a couple of others) in a single stack and not have them move to the grid when action is required but stay in the same stack, without stealing focus from each other. I know the software has it's own focus setting so this should be possible right?

yep, all you need to configure it Tile Setting = Never, that means that tables will never move out of the stack and into the grid when action is required

youll probably also want to look at the New Tables and Old Tables setting and decide how you want to handle those cases too, since both of those settings send tables to the grid by default

thanks for the thorough reply, if I could get it working properly I will definitely buy a subscription. I just changed some settings and tried those hotkeys (there should be a setting for this I think instead of having to use hotkeys), was playing on pacific and micro. A few pacific tables were not being brought up front and I was sitting out, but it was overall working much better, until all of a sudden my computer just turned off. Monitor just lost power. I had to force shut down computer and restart it, I do think this was because of SNT, it has never happened before and I was only running this and pokersites, and it seemed like SNT was trying to grab two windows at once and flickering. I tried again, and it pretty quickly shut my computer down again. Any ideas?

SaT would definitely have nothing to do with your monitor powering off. i have no idea why your computer would be shutting down. maybe SaT is too CPU intensive and your computer isn't handling it well. i'm not sure though. it definitely shouldn't be happening in any case.

can you post your pacific and microgaming configs, so i can take a look at them? maybe there is something conflicting with those

Moreover is it possible to have a setting the stack will have x size but the tile table will be smaller?

i'm not sure exactly what you mean. can you describe exactly what you want to do?

if you want to use the same key that you use in SaT for a hotkey, for use in an additional program by using the ~ prefix in SaT. so for example:

SaT "Stack Table" hotkey = ~F2
TableNinja "Fold" hotkey = F2

unfortunately no, right now in SaT all slots must be the same size

how can i post the configs? I was getting some error from luckyace when I tried to "tile" the tables with the hotkey, but I just stopped doing it at that point, maybe that was part of the issue. I will try to test it out on only stars and see if i can get that to work. SNT wasnt the cause of the computer shutting down, dont know what happened but it did it again later while I was playing without running SNT

yes, we just need to figure out the names of the buttons.

try using XButton1 or XButton2 in the SaT hotkey name and see if they work

sorry about that. the site specific configs that you created with the wizard are located in C:\Program Files\StackAndTile\Sites

good idea to test with Stars. if it works with Stars, then at least we know SaT is working, and that the program lies with the smaller sites and not with SaT

i'm glad to hear that SaT wasn't the cause of the shutdowns. i suspected it wasn't, because no one has ever reported that yet, but you can never be sure.

Hey greg,

I am trialing SaT and I'm going to register if I can get it working fully. I have followed the set up tutorial step by step but I keep running into the same problem; no matter what I try, I cant get stars nova working. The lobby's are recognized as tables as is the table themes window.

Here is my config:

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

EDIT: It seems to be a problem with my include/exclude text tags for WPT poker. If I have them set up the same as you have instructed ITT, i.e. Include: $ Exclude: Lobby, then the stars lobbys are not recognized as tables, but the WPT ones are. Weird.

Is there a way to have multiple "exclude text" tags?

Thanks

which lobby are you talking about? main lobby? tournament lobbies?

try these settings inside your WPT config file, then restart SaT:

Code:
table_exclude_title_text=Lobby|lobby|Replayer
table_include_title_text=\$|\/
let me know if that solves it

(that shows multiple include/exclude tags, they are separated by the pipe | symbol)

I was talking about both tournament and main. That fixed it tho.

it was probably the $ that was causing you the problem.

you probably had:
Code:
table_include_title_text=$
when it needs to be:
Code:
table_include_title_text=\$
by itself, the $ character has a special meaning (similar to how the * character is often a wildcard), so it needs to be "escaped" with the \ character preceeding

as always, there is the tradeoff between convenience and power

its on my to-do list for this week. i just updated the full tilt page on the site to mention that it probably won't work yet for the new software.

did F10 for Fold work during Include Site setup?

Hi! I use tableninja on stars to check/fold with the right mouse click. I am so used to it, I can't refuse it. How can I confige it with sat Action required setting? thanks

well, the Action Required setting is for moving the tables out of the stack and into the grid when its your turn to act. it has nothing to do with folding, although usually after a table is moved to the grid, most people want the table to go back to the stack when they fold

you can try using SaT to do the check/fold for you, by setting up a hotkey within SaT for "Fold" or "Fold+Stack" and using the key "RButton". then you won't need to use TableNinja

however if for some reason it doesn't work, you can still use TN to do the chekc/fold with the right mouse click, and then in SaT, you can set up a hotkey for "Stack Table" and use the key "~RButton". notice the ~ prefix, that will tell SaT to pass the hotkey through to other software, in this case TN

Hi Greg,

I'd like to use SAT to stack Stars and FTP tournaments in a single stack. I use a gamepad and table ninja. The problem I'm having is that when the active table comes to the front I have to left mouse click before I can act every time. Is there a way around this so that when the table comes to the front I can act on my hand immediately without having to left mouse click?

Thanks.

Thanks! Two problems with this:
1) When I fold using preselect, sat does not move table to stack
2) When I use right mouse to check during an active hand , sat moves the table to stack, then brings it back almost immediately when its again my turn to act. I would prefer it not to move it until I finish a hand.

Can you help with fixing it? Thanks!

i'm working on that feature right now actually.

for people who use gamepads or keyboard only, this is a needed feature. however, in the past, most of my users would use the mouse to play, and they didn't want other tables stealing focus as action was required. to do what you're asking, i have to explicitly give the tables focus each time.

no timeframe, but should be in the next update whenever i get it finished and tested

correct, SaT does not detect when you use the preselect checkboxes

how are you pre-folding? are you using a hotkey or are you clicking the checkbox with your mouse?

i guess you're using the TN fold/check hotkey? if so, there is a fundamental problem when trying to accomodate other applications: its hard to know exactly what they are doing. TN has combined both fold and check into one, so SaT cannot differentiate

SaT also combines them, in this way:

if you use the SaT "Fold" hotkey or "Fold+Stack" hotkey, SaT will try to click the Fold button. if you can check for free, pokerstars will give you the popup saying "are you sure you want to fold? you can check for free!" and it will have two buttons on the popup for "fold" and "check". when SaT sees this popup, it will click the "check" button, and leave the table in the grid (it wont go back to stack and the immediately back to grid)
