Was there any work done with this to make it compaitble with 18 man sngs? Would just changing the payouts in the source file correct for this?

Basically, how/why/when can this work for 18 man SNGs?

I won't work for 18-mans atm because the ICM code for handling N-way split prizes was only written to handle three places paid.

Hi,

first of all, thanks to the people involved in developing this for all their hard work.

Is there any way for me to use your program to analyze 10$ HU sngs (FullTilt) ?

I downloaded the program but can't seem to figure out how to use it. Is there some sort of tutorial in this thread ?

So long as the FT converter works with HU SNGs, then you just need to modify the batch file so that you set the correct "Entry Fee Percentage" and the prize structure to "1.0 0.0 0.0" (eg: winner takes all). If you look at the example batch files for 9-man and 6-man SNGs it should be fairly easy to see what you need to modify.

Did anybody find a solution for the error you get after converting the HHs from FTP format:

Someone mentioned checking your language settings a few pages back, but my PC settings are all english and always have been, but it still isn't working...

Thanks a lot for your reply!

Unfortunately, I'm a total spaz when it comes to this kinda stuff, so please bear with me. But which one's the batch file you're referring to and how do i go about modifying it?

nice prog, works great!
There´s one problem though, I do occasionally play a 60$ MTT on stars besides my normal 60$ 9-man sngs. But they look the same in my handhistory folder, so I just use every 60$ log! does that influence my results?

And I don´t get the nice graphs, just a DOS window, which tells me someone owes me 780$ over the last 150 sngs

First of all I need to thank Juko for sharing with us his excellent work.

I am having a lot of errors with the conversion from FTP to Party, I am trying to fix the script but I need a sample of what the party file should look like.
The problem I am onto now is that when there is no Small blind I get an error.

Could someone post a sample of a Party hand history where there is no small blind, if the line is missing it generates and error I am not sure if I need to make a line saying dead small or no small or whatever.

I'm not at my PC atm so don't have the hands to look at, but if you open up the EXE for my app in a HEX editor (or prolly just rename to ".txt" and open in norepad) and search for "dead" you should find the line that party uses.

No luck, I tried "dead" and "Dead" no match

Possible Bug in BackTestAllInLuck.exe

I have noticed that in some case it will consider some hands all-in and account them in calculations but the hero is actually not all-in.
It is quite strange because it seems that it needs a serie of events to occur to show the problem. As an example in the first 2 of the 3 hands below it should not be called as an all-in and if it is processed as a single hand it will not be counted but if processed with the 2 other hands it will.

These look fine to me (I'm dieing from a headache atm so maybe not read your post 100%, but the fact that all three hands rolled from from flop to river makes them all look like a valid all-in occurred), as if there is any all-in (not just one where the hero is all-in) then it can work out the difference between expected and actual.

Why it would not work if analysis on it's own then I don't know and that does sound like a bug. There is at least one small bug in the currently released code (which occurs when 2-way all-in occurs with a side pot created by one of the players having less than the BB). It could be that in the new code (that I have not released yet) that this bug is also fixed.

Perhaps I misunderstand how it actually works, I thought you would only calculate the EV/luck if the hero is all-in, not if 2 other players are all-in and hero is not involved or folds pre showdown.

I also picked a problem coming from FT where some hands are not properly formated and have a "'," in the all-in amount.

I understand that but if you want to factor it in your calculations then you need to determine what is the optimal play of any hand and gauge if you should have played your hand or not, then every hand should be accounted for.

Since the above seems impossible to me then you have to restrict the luck evaluation at the pushed and showed down hands.

I have red almost every post in the thread and found some partial answers but since I kind of struggle to express my thoughts clearly perhaps I should ask more direct questions.

In your calculations you account for:

[ ] Only allin hands with showdown
[ ] Only hands where hero is involved
[ ] Only hands that have an allin (with or without showdown)
[ ] Every hand
What other key criteria is used to select a hand for evaluation ?
