However the VS hero stat really concerns me. It is a critical stat to me. I have read your response above. HM2 already gives you VS hero stat by position.
So in your example, if you open the CO and the BTN villain 3 bets you. HM2 has a stat that shows how often this particular villain is 3 betting you from the button against your CO open.
AFAIK, every person we have discussed this with at length has eventually came over to our side of the argument. We are working on an article to explain, in depth, why these stats appear more useful than they actually are - the marketing hype has made vs Hero stats into something that they are not.
Basically, you can never have a sample size large enough, and even if you did, and the player is smart enough to play you differently from other players and smart enough to play their position, their play will adapt and information from historic hands become worthless, thus taking you right back to the problem of sample size. There is one exception to this rule, when you are playing against the biggest or aggressive hyper LAGs who are in every pot - at which point a vs Hero stat would tell you something that you already know.

Asking us why we don't just include this in PT4 because our competition has it is almost like asking Honda why they didn't make their brakes stop working like Toyota. Lives were at risk with Toyota's brake issue, in the case of Vs Hero stats only stacks can be lost with improper information - I admit this is hardly the same thing, but we are tasked with making sure all the data we provide in PT4 is accurate and useful. We don't want to add something to our software that has the potential to cause our users to have problems with their game or make mistakes due to a stat which is correct yet has faulty data - that is why vs hero has perceived value, but it does not have actual value for players. So far we have found that users who grasp this concept will be generally better at using tracking software, they tend to understand how the stats are best used in relation to the sample size.
Please keep an eye out for the article we will be releasing soon which will explain our decision process in greater detail.
