Do you have a firewall? If so it may be interfering with PokerTracker's ability to connect to the PostgreSQL database, if so please disable the firewall and try again. In very rare situations the database server could have been damaged when your OS crashed, if this is the cause then your data is usually fine - but you may need our support team's help in recovering the data. Please visit PokerTracker.com, click support then click Contact Us to create a support ticket. Be as descriptive as possible, include screen shots - the more information we have, the quicker we can help you solve your problem.

It is not possible to filter by player or list of players; our filter system is only designed to filter for hands or sessions therefore it is not possible to create population tendencies for a select group of players by name... instead we advise filtering for play situations. The graphs work for all filtered hands, which in turn only show players who qualify for that filter. I'm that since afraid PokerTracker 4 is not designed to do what you're attempting, your best bet is to alter your plans to focus on play situations as we advised.

For ex, I use only PFR and I want to see:
opponent: abc
(abc at button: pfr=25/hero at button (all time)fr=20)
so I know he is looser than me

Is it possible to do it with PT4???

This is probably a stupid question but il ask anyway. I just played a session where i ran hotter than hell itself. But i did not click "get hands while playing". Meaning it did not record my session. Is there anyway i can get this on there?

The issue may be caused by corruption of the cache, click Database > Database Management and then select Rebuild Cache. Walk away from your computer, this could take a while. Another thing to try is remove the Overlay Stats and Show Information Box options, if this is the cause then you may have a misplaced or malformed stat query, click configure and then revert to the default. If neither of these sugestions fix your problem then we will need to see your PokerTracker4.log file attached to a support ticket to determine the source. Please follow these instructions for submitting a Support Ticket.

I'm sorry but we don't understand why you would want to do this. The Hero's stats are already available on the screen, this would only result in a very cluttered and hard to use interface - we did not design PT4 to allow stats from 2 players to be shown in the same group, it is not recommended.

Get Hands While Playing imports hands that are live and adds the HUD, but you can do the same while you are not playing because the hands are stored on the computer, waiting to be processed. We suggest running the import, then select Play Poker > View Import Status. Do not play while this is happening. Once you no longer see hands importing in the View Import Status window, then it is safe to stop the import.

We found that you are using PostgreSQL 8.4.7 which is over 4 years old, we generally advise the latest version of 8.4 or 9.0 (9.1 and 9.2 are not supported). We think that may be the cause, your database is not large and we did not see any query issues that stand out as errors - it could be an issue caused by Postgres, it is best to address this first before proceeding. More details will be posted in your ticket, respond directly to the ticket rather than in this thread so we have a record of your history. Good luck!

Is it possible to auto reset session stats when moving tables in a tournament ? If not, I'm sure it's a feature a lot of players would like to have to warrant an implementation in the next update.

This already exists. Use the HUD's PT Chip menu, this works in cash games too.

PS: This took us a long time to implement safely, its not the kind of feature that can be included "in the next update", it took months of planning - and it works great!

PT4 wont open up for me any more. I go to open it and a pop up comes up and says "A version of Poker Tracker is already running". I have tried restarting my computer and there is no difference. I have tried to force quit it but it is not even showing up in there. I am on Mac OSX by the way.

I have not come across a situation like yours before, are you sure that you restarted your computer? In all other similar scenarios the issue was solved by restarting, that is why I ask. Try restarting once again, if that does not work then I suggest that you open your Applications folder, then move PokerTracker 4 into the trash. Restart, then delete the trash. Now download PokerTracker 4 once again, move the application from the DMG into the Applications Folder once again - you will not lose any data with this process.

If that does not work for you let me know in this thread, I will consult with my co-workers tomorrow to see if they have come across similar situation. Good luck, let me know what happens.

Huh....Yesterday I did restart my computer, by going to restart instead of completely shutting it down. Just now I shut it down and left it off for a minute, which fixed my problem. Thank you.

There is no technological difference between a restart and a shutdown, so it sounds as if you intended to restart but the restart didn't occur because a file was left open. I have seen that happen before, its rare but its likely the cause. Glad your back on track!

I am having problems transferring my database on pt4 to a new computer. I tried going to the Backup and Restore tutorial on the website but nothing is there once you click on it. I tried going to file and backup, onto a flash drive, but when i tried restoring it on the new computer nothing was in the folders on the flash.

The tutorial is working, I verified. You can see it here: https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/...up-and-restore

I recommend saving the backup to your desktop, then move the file to your flash drive. When restoring do the same - move the backup file to your desktop first. This way we can remove the zip drive as a potential source of problems.

Good luck!

I still get nothing when I click the link. It goes to where the tutorial is supposed to be, but there is nothing there, just blank white space, nothing for me to click etc.

Also, now my problem is getting pt4 to start. I restored the database but got an error at the end and had to close pt4. Now pt4 gives me an error saying it cant connect to the default database or something and tells me to select one from below. It has the right the pt4 postgres info below but it doesnt allow me to select or or move forward past this step.

I just wanted to confirm that BB/100 shown in PT4 is Big Bets won per 100 hands, where a Big Bet is 2 x Big Blind.
BB/100 is not Big Blind won per 100 hands, right?

Sound like you restored the PokerTracker 4 config file, this is the file used to determine the connection to your database, it should not be restored unless your database configuration is a duplicate of the original computer. I suggest you visit our website and create a support ticket so our staff can guide you through this process.

That is incorrect, that is how PokerTracker 3 worked, but PokerTracker 4 is far more advanced - we perform the calculations for you on the fly.

We treat Big Blinds and Big Bets in a similar way that we treat My Currency in PokerTracker 4. We calculate the BB/100 stat per each hand, when you are playing a NL game then BB/100 is Big Blinds per 100 in the HUD. When you are playing a limit game then BB/100 is Big Bets/100 in the HUD. We automatically make the conversion for you. In reports we combine the two together when you have mixed games which means BB doesn't technically mean either big blinds or big bets - it is a combined stat as long as the two limits are mixed, you can filter to see just limit or just big bet games. This means if you played 100 hands of limit holdem at a win rate of 1.5 Big Bets/100, and 100 hands at a win rate of 2 Big Blinds/100 while playing No Limit Holdem then in reports your win rate will be 1.75 BB/100 - but the BB does not represent either big blinds or big bets when this occurs.
