I downloaded the trial version today (1.3) from your website after seeing the thread in the HEM forum.

Firstly - in the user manual you say to click on the exe but the dowload is a zipped file.

Secondly - when installing I get this error:

Thirdly, when I ignore that error I can see the settings page, however, I play on PKR and use a hand converter that converts it to PokerStars hand format, so that in HEM it appears as PS hands, so I need to be able to change the location of PokerStars location as well as the exe file but it doesn't allow that...

Fourth there is nothing other than the settings page - there is no icon showing in the taskbar or anything. If i click on the settings link, that app shows up and nothing else is happening.

Can you help out please? I would definitely be purchasing it if I am able to get it working.

I formatted my pc since it hasn't been formatted for a couple of years and was slow. Now I'm getting the same error message as Mr_Tight/signuptoday were getting. Did you resolve this?

06-06-2010 , 09:04 AM
Its still very much in the plans but likely a few weeks away at least at this stage, i was away recently on holidays so things have stood still for the last 2 weeks in terms of progress, ill be working away over the next few days and should have a new update soon

Hi all,

Back again after my last post ( http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=262 )

What is the current status of the software?
Working well enough for most/all of you?

morny,

when I try to shutdown my computer, the computer shuts down all programs, including tiltdemon, and then tiltdeamon opens a new instance, and the computer won't shutdown. As it tries to shut it down again a new instance is created and the computer won't shutdown. Everybtime, I have to hit the shutdown button like 5 times and half of the time it still hasn't shutdown and gets very frustrating.

also can you have an option to switch off the auto close of the poker clients when not connected to the internet since if the connection drops out for a few minutes, it will close my poker clients which means i lose my seats on all the tables that i am on. plus i don't think its too necessary since if there is no net connection, i can't play anyway during that time.

Hi Ramdon,

Are you using Windows XP home edition by any chance, there was an issue lately that i discovered that a command i use to kill processes that works fine on Window XP Pro, Window Vista and Windows Home does not work on Windows XP home and so it has trouble closing it. I have that problem fixed now in 1.4 but ive still some issues i want to resolve with that so im not releasing it publically but if you email info@tiltdemon.com ill send you the link

If its not that version can you tell me what verison of tilt demon your using and what version of windows?
06-13-2010 , 03:44 PM
I have 1.4 - you helped me install it earlier this week via teamviewer

My computer uses XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 (it comes ready installed on the sony vaio I got)

ah cool

let me know when the problem with shutting down is resolved so i know when to update my version

I installed tilt demon just now for the first time and it destroyed my computer. A never ending number of pop ups saying this is a trial software crashed everything. I'm in safe mode right now trying to get rid of the software. Good job.
06-26-2010 , 10:24 PM
Sorry to hear your having issues, the trial software im currently using sometimes causes issues if the program crashes, im looking into using a different security package, btw it wont do any harm as such its basically gone into a loop, 99% of the time killing it solves the problem. Anyway thats not an acceptable excuse and im obviously going to fix this as i dont want something like this happening even if its rare. If you want me to give you a hand look at the problem email info@tiltdemon.com and we can organise something

This product is a great concept but as soon as it forced me to keep it open even when no poker clients were running I felt I could no longer endorse it or consider using it. If you resolve this please send me a PM as I'd love to write a future blog entry about it.

I really wish there was a 'light' version of this that just included a selectable alarm whenever a specified goal was reached (hands,lost/won,time etc).

I would really like something like that, but I'm not going to install a program designed to take away my control over my computer and any of the programs running there.

Is this product still being developed? I was interested in the tilt savings calculator but it would just generate blank reports.

any ideas?

Hi,

Yes, very much so. Truthfully i wasn't happy with Tilt Demon and decided to start from scratch with a new development team and were very close to a release. Ill have a beta version quite soon and i expect to have a full release ready within 2-3 weeks. The beta version should be quite stable, the 2-3 weeks are mostly just to add tournament support and tie down any bugs we find and also mostly cosmetic changes.

Just a taste of whats coming:
* Multiple tracking of stop losses, it will lockout when it exceeds the first one
* Ability to set whats defined as a session
* New and improved adding pokersites and username
* Supports every site Holdem Manager supports and every skin
* Tournament Support will include the ability to lock you out if you exceed your limit. How it works is it will notify you when you exceed your limit and warn you it will lockout when the last tournament is completed. If you attempt to start a new tournament and ignore it then it will immediately lock you out. I'm open to suggestions on other options too.
* Ability to filter the game type and stakes you want to track
* Ability to prevent playing outside your bankroll, set it to 100nl for example and if it detects you playing higher it will lock you out
* You can set a restriction on your stop loss of lets say 30%, once you reach that you can no longer change any settings. You have control over the %
* Panic Button, you can right click the Tilt Demon Icon to launch the panic button and leave it on your desktop, pressing this manually locks you out
* If you lose more than x bb's it will auto launch the panic button for x seconds, this allows you to lock yourself out quickly after losing a big pot, again you have the control over how many bb's and how many seconds
* The panic button and a message appear when you exceed the milestones of 30%, 50% and 75% of your stop loss, again you can control if they should be shown at these milestones and for how long
* Like Tilt Demon 1 an alarm will also sound if you choose this option
* Like Tilt Demon 1 you can just choose to have an alert and not a forced lockout
* Very extensive lockout protection, lot of work went into this
* You can set it to lock you out if you stop holdem manager or stop the auto import, these are up to your discretion but again provide a bypass method.
* Provides bypass protection for deleting files, uninstalling, renaming exe's, killing processes, changing system time, deleting hands after you lost a big pot, switching database and much more
* Coding is much more solid, its simple to install and use
* New savings calculator that allows you to scan up to 15 different stop/losses at once and plots the results on a graph showing you an overview of how you perform at different stop losses along with huge speed increases on the original version
* Better logging

Anyway the vast majority of these features are already in testing, any Tilt Demon 1 customers will get a free upgrade to 2, if you would like to be part of the beta testing please pm me, if you want to be notified of the release of Tilt Demon 2 officially please email info@tiltdemon.com and put Tilt Demon 2 Alert in the subject

btw if you have PostgreSQL 8.4 installed email me and ill send the new calculator to you, theres issues with it on 8.3 but i put off fixing them as my priority was with Tilt Demon and HM forces new users to use 8.4 anyway but ill have it fixed for launch eitherway
11-03-2010 , 03:00 AM
Sounds good. Will be interesting to see how it turns out.

Have emailed you to get the new calculator. Thanks
