Next time it happens can you send a screenshot to me please
04-15-2010 , 10:01 AM
sure

I finished my last session like 4 hours ago and Tilt Demon won´t let me play now Lockout time is set to 1 hour...

edit: seems like I am able to play but Demon won´t let me access the lockout Tab because I hit 30% or more of my stoploss. Like I said, my last session was a couple hours ago.

Hey Morny. Last night I came home drunk and did 2 stupid things: Moved up beyond prudent Bankroll management and played Rush poker (which tilts the hell out of me) and massacred my bankroll.

future features:

How about you select a limit you are allowed to play, say 100NL. If you try to sit at a 200NL table, you get locked out.

Same for game types: Only authorize myself for 6max cash, I sit at Rush poker, I'm locked out.

To change the limits/types you have to do it 24 hours before hand, so any changes won't take effect for 24 hours. Example, I come home drunk and want to take a shot at 200NL. I sit at 200NL and I'm locked out. I change the limit, but I still can't play because it takes 24 hours for the change to implement.

Thanks
04-17-2010 , 05:23 AM
Yeah thats quite a good idea and actually shouldn't be too hard to implement, i know stars and possibly other sites have a feature where you can opt out of certain limits and also an opt out from completely playing but those opt out options are quite limited and also there is a lot of sites that don't have it at all so even if you normally play stars you could end up playing other sites if you got locked out of stars.

So this would be kind of separate from the stop loss and it would be a bankroll protection tool which would allow you to specify what stakes you shouldn't be allowed play i.e 100nl,200nl etc and also what types of games i.e rush, limit, no limit, omaha, holdem

You can then set a time limit of say 24 hours or whatever you want and if you want to play any of the limits or game types you can click which ones you want to play and after 24 hours it will then allow you to play that game but if at anytime before this you try to play those limits then it will automatically lock you out. So if you have a valid reason for playing higher limits i.e running well and you want to move up then waiting 24 hours wont be a problem.

Yep, thats the concept. Thanks!

[Tilt eliminates self-control, I need outside restraints. Bankroll management (ie what limit to play) and game choice (what type of game to play) factor into a pattern of self-destruction every bit as much, if not more, then playing on tilt at your normal level at your normal game.]

Ok i have just found this product and am trying to get it working but i am having all sorts of problems.

Firstly it just doesnt lock me out of my poker client or give me a warning with the limits that are already in.

when i download the program and try to change the settings i press save then that button then goes transparrent so it cant be clicked again, then when i close the settings panel down and re open it the changes have never been saved.

the port and IP boxes are always blank after the first time of opening the settings menue.

Lastly when once i have download Tit Demon it opens fine untill i restart my computer once and then i get an error message saying "Invalid datawindow row/column specified" and i have to remove and re download the program or it just keeps looping the sartup process.

any help would be much appreciated cheers.

I think this is due to the Invalid datawindow row/column specified error, one other person was getting this and i managed to recreate it on My testing PC, when i got the error nothing worked for me either, the good news is i managed to fix the problem so the next release should fix your problem. You could try reinstalling if you want but most likely you'll need to wait for the next update which will be a couple of days.

I have your email so ill send you a mail to test the version before i release if you like, just to make sure it fixes the issues and it wasnt something else. If it something else i can do a teamviewer session if you like to try and fix it but well definetely need to get that error fixed first

Version 1.4 will be out probably later today, it will have network support, ive also made setup easier using an exe installer instead of having to unzip and for the odbc driver it will detect automatically if its installed and start the installation if it isnt.

Ive also revamped adding new poker sites, now you can add any poker site that Holdem manager supports via the settings panel, you just select the poker site, locate the exe and add your site.

Made various other bug fixes and improvements too. Ill post here later when its ready for download.

Just an update the build is delayed until tomorrow morning, i know its delayed a few days now but i came across another XP bug where the command was only compatible with XP Pro so for XP home users it wouldnt close the client and would just loop through alerting so im trying to get that fix out for tomorrow morning/evening along with the other ones
05-09-2010 , 12:35 PM
Thanks Morny. Waiting for the update to purchase.

Thanks morny for the info, looking forward to seeing if it works. Fingers crossed.

Update:

I have version 1.4 ready with the new setup where you can add sites yourself and a couple of other enhancements however the reason i didnt officially release it is because there is 1-2 bugs left, 1 of which causes either an error at the start of play or a freeze, doesn't seem to happen to many but its an issue id like to get resolved before posting it officially. If you want to try out the new version just email me and ill send the link

info@tiltdemon.com

Also this version has network support too. Apologies for the delay and hope to have something official in the next few days

Windows 7 64bit, tried installing trial version and get this error

05-13-2010 , 01:08 PM
Did you install the psqlODBC driver from here before installing?

http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/down...08_03_0400.zip

Once you have that installed you shouldnt get that message, in 1.4 it automatically does this for you
05-13-2010 , 01:25 PM
just installed that and still getting same error
