Hello, its me again

a friend of mine got 2 problems:

1) notecaddy saves notes for a definition, however if you try to analyze it - it says no notes found (it also shows no stats in a popup)
reset notes did NOT help (maybe upgrade -> downgrade -> upgrade from 2.4 -> 2.5 happend)

2) on laptps with low resolution (1366x768) - maybe other ones too - sometimes the bottom part (in the red rectangle) gets cut off (see picture)

1. If your friend used the 2.5.1 beta he should make sure he has the latest version of it. http://forums.holdemmanager.com/note...-5-1-beta.html
Not a bad idea to update to it anyways since it's about to be part of the official hm2 release.

I just got notecaddy and was playing around with it, and I think I found a bug? It feels too obvious to be one but I can't see how it isnt...

I also have a question! When you use one of the $range variables, is it possible to modify the format in which it outputs the hand range? To use an example, the default ColdCallIP stat will spit out a dozens of lines long garble of hands for PLO on anyone you have a decent sample on...

Ive been trying to read up on this via the wiki and searching but not found anything so far. Also tried to see if I could create hand groups preflop, kinda bucketing so to speak.

Ideally I think if the range was displayed as hand strength rather than exact cards it would be more managable (I.E instead of showing every instance of AA23,AA34,AA45,AA56... on AKK98 it'd just list that as Top set+ or something), can I do that?

After resetting notes and starting the creating notes process i notice that NC saves notes every ~100 hands even if i set any different ammount and process its taking longer than normally.

if you use $flophandrage (or turn/river) it will show as Full House

as for preflop i am not sure (maybe) File -> Settings -> Note Settings

how much space left on the harddrive? :|, i always get that when i have like less than about 1.5 times the database size available (which sucks on a small ssd :P)

It has around 30GB free and i vaccum it every time there is less than 10GB left. I dont know how big my DDBB is but is has 2.3M hands.

Shall i try purchasing a bigger SSD then? the current one is 111GB only.

Thanks but that button is already checked Still results in a really really unwieldly garble of text ---- for now I've resorted to setting fontsize to 1 so I can enjoy the sparkgraph without the clutter but it's not really optimal :P

I turned the turbo off and use 7 or 8 threads as have always done.

Without turbo hand grabber it saves more frequently. It used to save the same amount but since it's so much slower it was frustrating for people to "lose" work when closing HM2. I say lose because it had to be repeated by the caddy

PLO is tricky because so many combinations and hardly anyone uses NC for it. That said it should work, of course, and the issues you mention should be fixed in the beta version http://forums.holdemmanager.com/note...-5-1-beta.html
This version will be released with the next HM2 and is definitely stable enough. My apologies for the inconvenience

I was worried it was going to be some super simple setting that I had completely overlooked. Any comment on the bug(?) in the the screenshot I attached? Or should I do bug reports via email or something like that instead maybe?|

EDIT: Reading the update notes it sounds like it might cover both my questions, gonna download and check it out.

EDIT2: Much less inconvenient output for Omaha ranges now, I like it. Still would really love a way to customize it (create my own hand groupings, like treat all variations of AQJ[2-8] the same etc, that kind of thing).

Imported new definitions and started the note creation process, but had top stop it using the button "stop" to shut down the computer. How to start the note creation process only for the last imported definitions again? Don't want to start from the beginning, is it possible to continue from where I left?

If it's the full note creation process started via the "create notes for..." on the start panel then it resumes by itself. If you are referring to pending tasks then you have to reset and recreate notes as those are not able to be resumed.

sometimes i have a problem that i can not access definitions although nc shows me that notes were taken. When i click on "analyze" it says no notes were created but i see the avg % and the number of opportunities for this definition.
It`s weird that it only happens to a few out of hundreds of defs...
