Badabadam, It would be fairly easy to manually edit the PS notes file if you wanted to do that. Open it in Notepad and do find&replace and add a note in for each colour code entry.

Hey, is it possible to remove imported coaching package in one move,
or I have to delete note by note?
Do you recommend to disable NC default notes when using
coaching package?

Regards

hi guys,

I'm wondering, why the seek function scans around 40 hands only for me?
how can I tell Notecaddy to use the entire DB?
what am I missing?

thanks for help

You can't pick by coaching pack but you could delete them all by clicking on the top one in the list then shift+click the button one then make inactive...

As far as whether you should use the defaults depends a lot on your skill level. The packs are generally designed for professionals and point out imbalances and other good information on other regs. Default definitions are to help develop hand reading skills so more for newer players.

It is designed to show you some examples for testing. I can't imagine why you would need to see more than 40 examples to make sure your definition works. It stops because people with massive databases would leave it running then have excessive memory consumption. By the time it stops it has undoubtedly served its purpose though.

Bit of a bump. Is there anyway of removing these names? Is there something I can do in Postgres? Even if it means having to delete the database and start again I'm willing to do it. Just not sure how to.

Just create a new database and import the hand-histories from the HM2-archive. After that you can erase your old database.

In general it's better to create a clean new database instead of purging Hands.

Please see the attached picture. This is for btn open 11-13 bbs. If set up like this, which stack size in bbs will be noted? Also for btn is it best to use effective (the one to the right) or the other one (the one to the left)?

Same Q goes for co, mp, and ep. SB I figure using effective is the way to go.

That image isn't logical as it will filter out pretty much every hand. Effective only is the more popular option especially for later positions. The only time you would use the one on the left is to see how someone plays with a big/short stack on the bubble etc

I'm having real trouble with the 'seek' facility in that it freezes my computer up quite a lot, and even after I've stopped the seek from progressing, the replay is very slow and glitchy. It's taking me 5 mins to make a stat, but then way longer to test it because of the glitchiness of this. The main thing it does is that when you're replaying a hand it freezes up whenever a player in the replayer takes an action other than check. Also when I start the seek it just freezes up the whole thing for 2-3 minutes. Is this a known problem or is it likely just something on my end?

Hi there,

I tried to use the group panel in the definitions window.
The panel says: "Drag a column header here to group by that column" but it does't work for me.
Is it a bug?

Thanks

You should follow the steps in this HEM thread http://forums.holdemmanager.com/gene...ance-tips.html
It will help you make your database and disk run optimally so heavy operations like seek work well.

Grouping is disabled. It still appears in that menu. It shouldn't. It is definitely a bug. It is third party component though. They must fix their component. I pray they fix it expediently.

Trying to add the following custom stat onto my hud (via notecaddy):

VPIP x WWSF

Anyone know any good tutorials to do this? Thanks.

You need to be running the HM2 live tracking for stars/ipoker and it needs to be working well. You need to enable the data collection in NC via file->caddy clock. The timing is only picked up for live hands also. If these are hands from before then the data isn't available via the hand history files.

Which NC version are you running?

Probably some kind of power outage or disk issue is the cause. A backup of colordefinitions.xml gets created though and placed in the /backup folders that are located in
C:\Users\{YourWindowsLogin}\AppData\Roaming\Holdem Manager\NoteCaddyDefinitions
Just take one of those and replace the one in C:\Users\{YourWindowsLogin}\AppData\Roaming\Holdem Manager\ with HM2 closed and that restores it.

Thanks, that seemed to work. However I find I actually get most performance improvement in this area by restarting my computer and opening HM2 from scratch. After it's been running a while it tends to slow down.

+1

I actually get bad lag after 90mins+ and always restart between sessions.

I do vacuum/compress db but I don't feel like these do anything.

Question on Automatic colornotes.

Say i set up notecaddy to autoupdate color for regs (getting a purple color)

Then the questions are:

1. What happens with those colors ive already made myself? Will they be overwrited?

2. What happens if notecaddy has autocolored a player, but ingame i found out that he had reggy stats (so notecaddy colored him purple), but then i change it to orange? Will it then stay orange or will notecaddy overwrite it Again?

3. If i reset my colornotes, will all the colornotes i made ingame when playing then disappear?

cheers

Question on deleting or not showing stats
Suppose i have 2 note definition, X and Y.
I want to show X just in the case that Y has no minimum instances...or deleting X if Y has more than required instances
Anyway to do this?

I have gotten caddy clock working now, is there a way to turn it on to see it for all instances like the betsizing popup (where you can filter preflop etc.). I can only get it working for individual stats

NoteCaddy won't delete/change/overwrite the colors you made or edited in stars.

Check the advanced tab. There is an option to validate/invalidate based on another definition.

Do you have the NC.LastActionDelay stat in your HUD? That should be an overall data set in the popup
