If you asked this in the PokerEV thread - you might actually get a proper response from the creator. He will most likely never see this thread. He subscribes to his threads - but doesnt have time to browse the entire forum looking for threads like these.

Feature Suggestions for HUD:

Separate stats for NL Holdem, PL Omaha, Limit Holdem, etc.
Option to show only x-handed stats only. So, for example option to show 4-6 handed stats only even if table is HU or 9 handed.

These may have been covered already.

Looks impressive, can't wait to see the beta. Especially featuring 150+ hands/second importing speeds. Wow.

Updated timeline? Will the hud be in the first beta?

I take it this didn't come out thurs night.

Of course, the database is designed that way

Haven't put this in the HUD yet but it's available in the database.

Very soon. I keep finding things to fix/improve. HUD isn't in the first beta but it will be once the tracker/stats/database are stable and mostly bug free, which won't take long given the testing I've already done. After the tracker is released HUD is priority.

I'll post when it goes to testers.

This would be great on a Mac!

I can honestly say that I am STOKED about this program. I use pokertracker for omaha now and it will not be out in the new version for quite some time.

Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help. I play only PL08 and NL08, a game most people do not play, but it looks as if this program will help me.

Thank you in advance.

Are there plans for adding tournament support in the near future?
Or should I plan on sticking with PT2 for now?

Thanks,
Jonathan

I will add tournament support (proper support, not chip based + $50 more for another program), but it's a lower priority. You could be waiting more than a month for proper tournament support, though everything equivalent to the type of chip based support in HM is already in there.

PT3 beta is probably a better option for now.

Will it be possible to only run the EV-calculation on hands played between for example 14.00 and 15.00
or hands played on Mondays only, between 19.00 and 20.00?

Would be awesome.

I was eagerly waiting to try his new software. I won't even consider it now. There is no need for another developer to take cheap shots, especially to travel into the competitors thread and take a stab. I was appalled when the PT people did it in their thread, and I am saddened and disgusted that Phil did it in the way he did. I HAD a lot of respect for him, until this.

Good luck with your beta. I for one won't be testing it.

lol i like the competition , i wish we could put phil, rvg , and PA josh in a steel cage match ..whoever wins gets the 100 or so,im gonna spend on my next tracker/hud...

I like the competition too. I just don't see any reason for one guy to go into a competitors thread, and post a 1-liner that is nothing more than a "Dig". Kinda childish, and unnecessary, imo. I do tend to be easily offended, iirc.

Hey fozzy,

That's your choice.

I've defended rvg several times in the past, even knowing I'd be a competitor. It's in his old threads and PT3 threads.

But he rushed out a buggy and obviously untested product two days prior to PT3 beta, and also took the support of a good free HUD away from the community (despite claiming he had one of his own almost ready 6 months earlier), so he could force bundle a HUD and make more money. I've been around for a long time providing free products - and have promised to continue to provide free products and support - and didn't think much of that. It's a dick thing to do to loyal customers and users who've spent a lot helping with the product.

This isn't about competition. The core, design and innovation in PokerEV is so superior to Holdem Manager in just about every way I have no concern about them, and it'll become obvious as this gets closer to commercial release that they can't compete. On the other hand, I expect PT3 to improve rapidly and be very good competition, and you won't catch me saying a bad word about them. They have very competent developers who know how to make great products.

Nice, some dramarama upon this board, lol.

You can already do this in PokerEV and you'll be able to do it with any of the next generation trackers soon I'd say.

I wasn't trying to take anything away from you or your past contributions. I just didn't see any good reason/benefit, for you to go post a sarcastic post in a competitors thread. So far I would say that was a pretty -EV play on your part.

How?

I mean, I only want the EV of my hands played the last 8 mondays between 16.00 and 17.00.
02-17-2008 , 03:08 PM
Sorry, should have been clearer...you can easily do this in the new (unreleased) version via a custom stat and via another feature as well, you can't do it in the old one.
02-17-2008 , 03:13 PM
Ok, awesome, thank you.

As a potential PokerEV customer, I think it looks bad when a developer chooses to spend time attacking another product instead of actually releasing his own. If you honestly have no concern about HM, you should have no need to waste time trolling his thread.

I read the initial post in the HM thread as a friendly jab. But the follow up in this thread seems unnecessarily negative and kinda unprofessional. Leave the bashing to objective third parties like myself ;p.
