Sounds like you have 64 Bit vista and all your programs will be installed to C:\Program Files (x86).

Your HH folder will be different than you are used to also. http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=142

You need to also add that to your Configure Auto Import Folder list. Then it should work fine. It is a bit slower to popup at first, than the way pokerstars does it.

The problem I was having with the aggression factor stats showing up as illegible was a result of the color range against the dark background of the Full Tilt skin. Just changed it and its fine.

The memory access blocks only occur when the comodo client is open, and is likely normal, and that I just haven't noticed it before.

Problems solved.

There is an existing HM thread in this forum where your questions should go. It get's your questions answered faster, by an HM employee, and it keeps the forum less cluttered.

Hey Fozzy I was wondering if you could help me with this.

My HEM works great and everything (very satisfied) and I have no issues with the HUD or anything.

However when I go to Options > Database Management, when I click this Holdem Manager shuts down and I get this error message

"DBControlPanel has stopped working"

"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Does you know how I can fix this problem? Thank you.

tx. It was working great earlier fetching hands, but now that I went back to play it's not working. I sat in a game and it's getting stats for that one that I'm playing, but not the 6 others that I'm sitting out of. I know you said it takes a while and it's been about 9 hands that I've sat out

edit: never mind. Although I set it to record 5 hands earlier and saved it somehow it wasn't saved when I reopened it. All is good now!

Please try updating to the latest version from the post above. You can also try running the dbcontrolpanel from: C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager.

If that doesn't work, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling HM, and leave PostgreSQL installed.

Vista: Turn off UAC - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm....aspx?faqid=73

Turn off Windows Firewall for installing HM and PostgreSQL. Once you get those installed you can add exceptions to the firewall. If you have a 3rd party firewall, uninstall it completely before installing HM/SQL - http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afm...aspx?faqid=171

Before you uninstall HM:

I want to re-install Holdem Manger without losing all of my settings and preferences. Can this be done?

How do I export or import hands into and from Holdem Manager?

You want to make sure you backup your Processed/Archived hand histories, your entire \config folder, and your exportednotes file. I usually just copy my entire \Holdem Manager directory. It is also a good idea to export any non-default HUD configs you have created to XML file.

I would also make sure you manually export the database to hand history text files:

HM > Options > Database Management > Connect > Export Hands

Make sure you copy that folder as well as the other stuff I mentioned.

This helps to insure that if anything goes wrong with the backup/restore, you can manually import the exported files to rebuild.

Then you can use Add/Remove programs or Revo Uninstaller.

Installing HM:

When reinstalling HM, install the full setup, then the latest beta patch and finally paste in your config folder. Then the only thing left would be importing your exported notes. Your HUD should be the same as it was.

I had this issue last night also, and it is still there. It seems to not be saving your settings. I just informed Mike and Roy via email.

Please start a thread on the HM forums with as many details about what is happening (or not happening) as well as any things you have tried already. It sounds like a remote support session may be in order, so we can get you up and running as quick as possible.

The best way, is to add a 2nd independent hard drive to your system, and install SQL there so it doesn't have to compete with Windows for Read/Write Cycles.

A small guide to set it up can be found here in post #8:

This works but real support would be better.

// M
It look like this this converter imports cash game euro hands as $ hands - is there a fix for this? Or is this just necessary for the imported to be comatible with HM?

Thx

FYI: You need to update the FTP FAQ to include the prefetch folder.

They need HM to have multi-currency support, I would assume.

Fozzy before I uninstall HEM, I want to be sure that I can save all my Hand Histories. However with the "export hands" option you suggested above, I can't even get there because of the original problem. As soon as I go to the options menu and click "Database Management" I get the "DBControlPanel Error" and HEM just shuts down. Is there any other way I can go about Exporting my hands? I really don't want to lose all my data. Thanks again.
