It would really, really be nice to have a default filter.

I start up HM. HM remember my filter was "All Hands, All date" so HM goes off and calculates all the stats and retrieves all the hands. Much, much later it starts responding to me. OK, I'm being a little extreme, but I would find it handy to set my default filter to "No filter, Today's hands."

PS. With HM I'm getting to be an excellent poker player. HM gives me sooo many things to study. Of course with all this studying I don't have any time to actually play anymore! lol

If you paste the hand into wordpad, you get pretty colours.

Hello.

Help newbie out, please. I play fullring micro limit tables. What stats i should use in HUD and what would be good colour code values?

Right now i use:
Name

VPIP: 20 % yellow, 29 % red, ower it green
Preflop Raise: 10 yellow, 19 orange, ower it red
Three Bet: 3 green, 8 orange, ower it red
Hands
Won when saw flop
Win Rate

Agg Factor
Flop agg Factor
Turn Agg Factor
River Agg factor

But maybe there are more useful stats what i should use.

Thank you

Vern, thanks alot for helping me out with this. It works, although I did have to turn off the firewall on my server computer. Can anyone explain how I can tell my computer that I want to make an exception for HEM/postgres instead of turning off the entire firewall ?

I'm running Vista and it's pretty hard to see the difference in settings for "local network" and "internet". Ideally, I'd like my computer to be entirely accessible (with permissions to read, change, open, etc. files and programs etc.) through the network, while being protected from internet attacks.

Likely because the gazzilion different combos of hardware and firewalls would make support a PITA. BTW, yw.

Depends on what firewall you have, but usually there should be some kind of exceptions tab or section where you should be able to add a rule for HEM to allow incoming/outgoing connections for that program.

I think holecards report is slightly messed up.. what I mean is: I am really used to the holecards order that was in PT2 and here I can't seem to get that order.. meaning, to start with AA AKs AKo all the way down to 22.. In HEM I get either a start with TT or some weird 22, 2J start.. I am running the 1.05.10d (the test model )

I've recently noticed another problem with my HEM. When I'm done playing a session and I stop the auto-import, not all handhistories get moved. I checked (and even deleted/reconfigured) my auto-import, and moving files is enabled. This also makes sense because it does move some files.
Same with mining, when I mine it moves a lot of .tmp files, but not all after stopping auto-import.

Any idea why this keeps happening?

Even restarting HEM, turning on auto-import, waiting 10s and turn auto-import off again won't move the files that were left.

Not running 1.05.10, but... did you click the column heading "cards" to sort that way? I actually have to click it twice. The first click sorts it from 22 up to AA, then the second click sorts the other way.

Yes I have. I wouldn't post it if i didn't try these things. But thanks.

To illustrate.. this is what it looks like after what you suggest, and yes, that's the problem I am referring to..

that's when it begins with 22.. then it goes to 99 and following one is A2 etc,

this is what it looks like from the other end.. Tens then Queens? ..

see my point ?

Yep. I hadn't noticed that sorting issue. I typically sort by more important factors, such as Won Hand%, $, Set %, etc. In fact, I probably havent sorted by the 'cards' column in a few months.

Finally got filtered hand history purging working good on very large DB's so I do need a few more people for the private beta, preferably data miners with millions of hand histories to purge. Email support@holdemmanager.net with the subject beta list

I'm trying to get a close to final private build out later tonight ideally making 1.05.10 official by Monday night or Tuesday.

If you have any urgent issues e-mail support@holdemmanager.net

Come on man, you've said this for so long now. I think people would react more favorably if you just said "we're having massive problems with Ongame HUD support and can't tell when we'll be able to support it" (if such was the case, I obviously don't know exactly what the problem is).

The issue isn't the HUD, it's reading hands from their database and I've mentioned many times that the reason I can't give an estimate is because I've had very little luck making any progress... I've also tried getting in touch with other people to work on this but they haven't been able to help. Poker Tracker did it though so I'm confident I'll find a way to make it work.

Hey Roy,

Loving HM.

I'm starting to play around with editing the pop-up stats and have a couple questions.

1. How do I edit what pops up when I hold my mouse over a single stat in the HUD (eg. VPIP, fold to 3bet, etc)?

2. Are position sensitive stats such as "Fold to 3-bet in position" and "Fold to 3-bet out of position" available to be added to before mentioned pop-ups?

1 - Options > HUD Options > HUD Popup Configuration >

Make a new popup, and then go to player preferences and apply the new popup to the desired stat.

2 - I don't think they are currently available, broken down by in or out of position.

I've decided to get HM on my brand new computer. I just followed the instructions on reinstalling windows on a new Dell from the FAQ in the computer tech help forum, and I'm not sure it was such a good idea. I'ver split my hard drive into two main partitions (per the instructions in the FAQ): A (C: ) drive with 20 GB and a (D: ) drive with ~440 GB. This was instructed to me so that the C drive would hold my XP OS, as well as my program files and such and my D drive would be my data. So...

Where should I download HM to? I assume downloading to the default C:/program files/etc location would be bad if I planned on keeping the database in the D: drive...? I have no idea what I'm doing. I probably shouldn't have partitioned it this way since I'm such a rookie. Can you advise?

Hi, I have a request for the replayer. It would be nice if we could get a button to move back a street when replaying a hand instead of having to move back to the previous hand and then move forward and replay the whole hand.

Thanks,

Nathan

Where you install HM has little bearing. Install PostgreSQL on the larger partition (D as that is where it will then be controlling the Database.

Okay, perfect. So HM in the default Crogram files/ location and Postgre SQL in the D drive won't slow me down? I thought having the two on separate drives would make it slower.
