Does it help if you try disabling Note Caddy? Open HUD Settings, make sure you are on the HUD Designer tab, and uncheck "Show Caddy notes in HUD." Restart HM2.

When sending the log file make sure you link to this thread and include your forum name so we can know what we have asked and what you have done already.

Yes, as long as you have the latest beta installed - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

After downloading, right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator to complete the reinstall.

A few people were getting a 'widgets' error with that build but hopefully it won't affect you. We have a fix coming for that issue very soon (hopefully today or tomorrow). These changes should be available in the next gold beta release. While we do not have an exact date for the release, you will receive a prompt to update once available as long as you have enabled the Settings > General > [x] Prompt for Beta Updates.

Is there a way to track all ante up hands in my db and delete them so they don't screw statistics? Same question for satelites.

It always ask me if I want to update. But I haven't updated in 1-2 months. You think I need to update?

I don't think so for either but to be sure you should send us a sample of each and a sample of non ante-up/sat games for our testers to double check if it might be possible. I don't play either of these game types so I can't be sure off the top of my head and can't test without a sample sent by you/others.

Please zip and email the hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to using the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/support/product/1

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth e.g C:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31 or if it was auto-imported with v7283+ it would be in C:\HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

When sending any hand history files please zip them (right-click > send to > compressed folder) before attaching them to an email. If the attachment is too big to attach to an email please upload them to a file hosting site like dropbox, googledrive or filedropper and send us the download link.

If you haven't updated in a month or two then it sounds like you have the last official release and don't have the option for beta updates toggled on. The latest beta version is #8397 and was released in the past week or two so it sounds like you need to update. I think you can safely wait for the next beta if you are worried about the widget error and have not received a popup warning from the pokerstars client that your HM2 version needs to be updated.

Every session HM2 makes my tables freeze (I'm playing zoom, if that matters). Is this a common problem? If yes, and way to help improve the problem.
My tables freeze for between 5-90 seconds on average three or four times in an hour. I think it's got slightly worse. It used to be a lot less frequently than this.

Also, as a more specific problem (one I feel may have already been asked/solved, sorry if that's the case) any player's HUD fails to show up in-session, that has a non letter/number character in their sn. Even a space in their sn will trigger this bug.
Is there a simple way of solving this that I'm missing?
This didn't used to happen when I was playing regular tables so it's either exclusive to zoom or a new bug that has started up in the last few weeks.
Thanks in advance.

What is your hard drive model, RAM and CPU? You can find this in your Control Panel - System - Device Manager. Sometimes lower spec PC's can contribute to lagging but that is not to say we can't still improve it further.

Are you running Notecaddy also and do you have many definitions or use any of the NC Edge or NC Advantage packages? Those can also have an impact on large database with large definitions.
If you do I would suggest reading this thread which will help improve the performance when using NC:
http://wiki.assaultware.com/NoteCadd...provement.ashx

You can also try the steps in the following AJA Performance Guide - http://www.notecaddy.com/NoteCaddy%2...ide%20v1.2.pdf

In the meantime while you reply with those details I have a couple of things you can try that will improve the performance of your PC in general and may help if this scanning is the cause of the issues you're seeing.

Please check these 2 FAQs and try all the steps there to see if they help:
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...%28Firewall%29 - Resolves issues where security software continually try to scan files and processes which can slow down your PC
- http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rts+%26+HUD%29 - General tips and solutions for performance issues

A few other things you could try to see if it helps when playing:
- Does it help you disable the Settings > General Settings > Miscellaneous > [ ] 'Automatically Refresh' option and restart HM2?
- Try leaving HM2 on the 'Home' tab when playing.
- Try picking a villain in the reports that only has a few hands in your database instead of your hero and restart HM2.
- Try creating a new smaller database with just hands from the past 1 or 2 months to use when playing - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...y+played+hands

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and attach your new \HM2logs folder -

Please update to the latest beta version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ger_2_Beta.exe

After downloading, right-click the file, go to properties and click unblock. Then, right click the file and run as administrator to complete the reinstall.

If you continue to have problems:

Please try a clean install of HM2. This will preserve your database and backup your HUD and settings.

1) Export any custom HUD configs.
2) Open the HM2 > HUD Settings > HUD Designer menu > Click 'Reset' > [x] All Configs > OK

Step 1 – Restore Default Settings:
First try restoring your default settings, often some settings files can become corrupt and cause these issues:
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...fault+settings

Step 2 – Uninstall and reinstall HM2 with Revo uninstaller:
Other times critical system files may not have been installed on previous updates and it can also cause these types of errors or in some cases antiviruses may have removed files that it mistook for unsafe. Doing a revo uninstall also removes old registry file information which might have become corrupt. You can download the free version here: http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_..._download.html and there is a useful tutorial how to use it here:
http://www.guidingtech.com/457/revo-uninstaller/

Uninstall Holdem Manager 2 via Revo unistaller and then reinstall this version:
http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...er_2_Setup.exe

Please add this file to your firewall and antivirus exceptions and run it as Administrator.

Step 3 – Follow the steps in this FAQ:
http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...olders+HM2+use

Step 4: If the default settings work, please use the FAQ in step 1 to restore your settings and test them. If the problems then return you will need to reset your settings to default again and use those going forward.

If you continue to have problems with the default settings, please reproduce the problem, describe exactly what you were doing, and attach your \HM2Logs folder -

Please see this FAQ to transfer/backup data:

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...dem+Manager%3F

This will ensure that you have your hand histories and HUD saved to import into a new computer, and as a backup to restore in case of an emergency.

Here is our FAQ on how to backup just the player/hand notes and skip the database.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\MM\DD.

If you are missing any hands from there for any reason and you play a site like stars/ftp/party you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney histories/results.

Epilogue: I got my notes from my old db and am pretty sure I have at least 99 % of all hands I've ever played archived so in the end I didn't lose anything - thanks for your quick support.

Thanks for the response,

My RAM is poor, just 4GB, which could be a big problem but I can purchase additional RAM, right? That's a thing? I'm so ignorant with technology. Couldn't even really locate the CPU part but my guess is that's not great either.

Is there a way of uninstalling Notecaddy? I don't have/have never even used the full version and only have the free version running idle in the background.

I've muddled around with quite a few of the things you suggested and that are in the FAQs and will let you know if it's any better by tomorrow after I've played a couple sessions under the new conditions.

Installing more RAM is usually fairly simple.

NC can't be uninstalled but it can be disabled: Open HUD Settings, make sure you are on the HUD Designer tab, and uncheck "Show Caddy notes in HUD." Restart HM2.

Hi,

When I'm playing and check hands in the replayer and write notes on players, very often HM changes the player I'm taking taking notes on mid-sentence so I mistakenly start typing in someone else's profile. This happens on both PS and ipoker and I'm not using any other software while playing than HM2. If I traditionally open the player notes "box" and type something in there everything works fine. Help appreciated.

This is a known issue in the Hand History Viewer but I am not aware of any issues like this in the Replayer.

If you continue to have problems, please reproduce the problem and zip/attach your HM2Logs folder with a detailed description of what you were doing and what problems you were experiencing and make sure you tell us what sites/games are you playing when this happens - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ger+Support%3F

Not at this time. I do not have an estimate for when this issue will be resolved. We do not give estimates until it has been confirmed as fixed by our internal testers and the release is imminent.

This issue has been documented in detail and provided to the developers to resolve.

The assigned internal ticket # on this issue is HM-8566

If you want to be notified when it is fixed please send an email via the 'Contact Support' link here - https://support.holdemmanager.com/ - and include "Notify Me When HM-8566 Is Resolved" in the subject line and body of the email.

After disabling that option you have to close the replayer and replay those/some hands again for the changes to take effect. That is the case with most (all?) of those replayer options in that menu. I just tested this and it worked as expected once I restarted the replayer.
