I am getting exactly the same problem. I emailed support.

I shut down mine down normally, it didn't crash.

Because it can't register, HEM2 won't start.

Just found this thread on HEM forum where many people are experiencing the same thing: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/gene...cencecode.html

The mod there says they are having an issue with the license server and are handling it. Really hope this is solved sooner rather than later.

Unjammed - thanks for that

They should really respond to emails saying its a known problem and they are working on it.

Hi guys - unfortunately there are issues with the license server, we are doing our best to do a server restart. I do not have an ETA, but I can assure you we are working on getting this resolved as fast as we can!

Hi Kah, we are responding to emails to notify everyone as fast as possible, I'm sure you can understand that there is a huge number of enquiries about this, so answering everybody might take some time.

How do we disable certain pop-ups for the HUD? I want to get rid of most of them, as they cause lag in unwanted situations. There's a button to delete them but I want to keep them just in case for when the software actually gets better.

And to whoever made the defalut pop-ups, I must say they did a horrible, horrible job. How those TINY fonts didn't get a mention in the alpha amazes me. Do the developers actually paly poker anymore?

Hi

If you go to HUD options > Stat appearance > select the stat which then will show the popup associated with it in the popup box under stat settings > select the drop down arrow and click on the blank space at the top to get rid of the popup.

In regards to the default pop-ups you can configure these however you want in the popup designer, however we are currently working on a new design for the default popups.

Thanks
Denise

Hi,

If you are using

HM1 - Please view the following FAQ which will guide you through the steps for moving HM to another PC http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

hm2 - To reinstall Holdem Manager 2 without losing your settings follow this FAQ:

So backup the database and config files by following that FAQ and restore it on your new PC

Enable UAC - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/

I got W7 64bit, using kaspersky 2012, but I always turn it off during session, even on my previous computer it was causing laggs, so I turn it off completely.
I was running everything as admin as default, except for ninja, so I changed that. And I added exceptions to firewall and defender (except for the port thing, firstly because I didnt see option to change port and secondly there was already postgres (instead of postrgreSGL) that was set up on the 5432 port.

I was more expecting that I would have to change something in hm2 options... for example I remember PT3 had option to not change hud numbers every hand when you already had enough hands. For example with 100 hands it would only refresh every 5th hand. I imagine that would save some power...
Anyway Ill try playing session today and send you log if it laggs again.

Noob-question:

Does the backup in HM2 also save my custom pop-ups and my changes to the default-pop-ups?

Thx

It is on our to-do list but I don't have an ETA for when it will be fixed. Once it is fixed it will likely require a reimport to a new database.
hey I understand you can't give a specific date, but are we talking about a few weeks or a few months ? that would make quite a difference

No, it does not but exporting a HUD that has custom/edited popups in it, and then importing that custom HUD to a new computer later will restore the customized .pop files. You can also copy your C:\Users\%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManag er\Config to backup all your custom .pop files.

The developers are working on these bugs now and then they need to be tested (I saw some testing done on it this weekend but it looks like the first rounds of fixes from the developers didn't fully fix all the problems). I would hope that it will be resolved in the next few weeks but it really depends on how many times the various EV bugs get kicked back from the testers to the developers.

Been over a month since i checked this thread. Think i was 1 of the 1st to report the EV problem with HM1. Pretty disappointing that this is talking so long to fix considering it really shouldnt be a hard fix to copy the "luck" amount from the ICM tab to the actual $EV diff column. I mean jezz u guys are already calculating the correct amount, just not using it

Pre-2009, where on my hard drive would HEM have archived my HHs? Right now, it's in the HMArchive and HM2Archive folders in C:\. I only have HHs starting July 2009 and I can't seem to find the old archived HHs on my old computer hard drive.

what's the link to the most recent update for HEM 1?
i want to see if there's a new update and try one more time before having to schedule a team viewer with support, i'm just so lazy. to refresh my problem was that the hud stats are showing for the wrong people (my preferred seats are def right, so it's from a different orbit or table, not the stats are mixed)

tia

edit i just updated, to 1.12.11? during installation it said error cant replace something .blitz and 2 other files, are these gonna be important? lol, i installed HEM somewhere other than default (a different drive)

edit 2: still isn't working properly.. weird though because it used to work fine on this computer!

Did you reformat at any point? Check in that first archived folders, were they put in that - was that when you purchased hm1?

Make sure that you are using the correct install. If you have it installed in two different folders, delete the one that you don't use, then reinstall the update in the correct one. Make sure everything isn't running - stars, any part of hm. An easy way to do this is to reboot, to make sure a file isn't in use.

- Please see these steps to fix postgresql connection issues:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...rt+PostgreSQL+

- Please make sure that you have allowed postgres and pg_ctl in your firewall and antivirus exceptions. They are in postgres\bin.

- Please update windows fully. Please keep checking until it shows twice five minutes apart that there are no more updates.

- Please update your network adapter. Open device manager and find the model #. Search google for the model # drivers to download.

- Please run the windows repair on your winsock:
