I Havent done anything just today when i was going to start HM it was there.

thanks
0. Make sure you have installed the latest Beta version.
1. Note your database connection settings from the database management
2. Close holdemmanager
3. Go to the folder config in the holdemmanager installation path
4. Rename the file holdemmanager.config to holdemmanager.config.corrupt or sth. like that.
5. Under Vista make sure that UAC is switched off or check the administrator settings for holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe under properties->compatibility
6. Restart Holdemmanager
7. Holdemmanager reinstalls and displays some messages and warnings
7a. A new holdemmanager.config file is generated
8. Reconfigure your database connection
9. After successful start reconfigure your Auto-import settings
10. Table manager should start again.

If none of that helps, I would suggest a clean reinstall:

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...o+Uninstaller+

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...g+Preferences+

1) Export any custom HUD configs individually, make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files. If you have custom filters/reports/stats, just copy the entire \holdem manager folder before uninstalling.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting. You do not need to uninstall PostgreSQL.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe. You should un-check the PostgreSQL Option when running the combo installer.
6) Test if it for a while and see if it works

A few people are having issues with the BHG but it seems to be related to their software, and not ours.

You can purge hands from your database by site/date/stakes. Please see this FAQ.

You should run the HM PGTune feature after a purge, and it is a good idea to tune the DB regularly (once every month or so is sufficient) - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...s+Optimization

If you have any problems or errors while using that HM automated method, you can use the manual method - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...lyze+Database+

A problem has occured for me after joining the Boss network.

I have three different huds to choose from, one of them being the default hud. This is not the hud that I want to use.

So to the problem: I set up the hud that I want to use, with positions and so forth. However, clicking "save positions" does not do it, after restarting HM the default huds takes place. I can, by right-clicking on each table in the table manager, choose the hud that I want (the "restore positions" option does not work for this, I have to do it table by table). I have in HM chosen that the default hud shall not be used for Boss and that the hud that I want shall but it does make it either.

Any idea?

Thanks, Vanilla

This is usually because the Use For tab is improperly configured for one or more of your HUD layouts and/or you are not selecting the proper HUD from the Choose Configuration: drop-down menu. The Default HUD should be set to a site you never play, and make sure none of the other layouts have conflicting rules. Any time HM isn't sure which HUD to use, it will revert to the Default HUD (even if it is set to a site you never play).

Can you explain the tournament $EV adjusted winnings and how that's calculated?

Luck Adjusted Winnings compares the change in the equity you have at the beginning of a hand with the end of the hand.
It only is calculated for hands where an all-in situation (before the river) takes place. And only can be calculated for single table tournaments.

Example:
$10 husng -->50% flip--> it works something like this

1500 vs 1500 chips:.

You win the SNG 50% of the time--> and your equity will be $20 (EV Diff = -$10) but 50% of the time you lose and your equity is $0. (EV Diff = +$10)

You Luck Adjusted Winnings will be the SUM of all the EV Diffs + your final equity.

Your final equity will be either $20 (if you win) or $0 (if you lose)
So in this example (1500 vs 1500 chips) the luck adjusted winnings will always be +$10 (no matter if you win or lose)

----

2500 (hero) vs 500 chips:
-->50% coinflip

This time you win the SNG 50% of the time--> and your equity will be $20
but 50% of the time you lose and you will have 2000 chips and your opponent will have 1000 chips.

1500 chips are worth $10 in equity, so when you lose the hand your equity will be $13.33

So your EV is 50% * $20 + 50% * $13.33 = $16.66
Therefore if you WIN the hand--> and your equity is $20 (the EV Diff will be -$3.33) and if you LOSE--> your equity will be $13.33 (EV Diff = +$3.33)

As mentioned above, HM is not a bankroll tracker, it is a results/hands tracker. It also separates the Cash and Tourney results.

The most common causes of this are regional settings issues, multi-currency issues, or incorrect tourney results because the site doesnt provide detailed summary files with the hand files.

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts), including Internet Explorer 9 (even if you use a different web browser) and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

Is there a way to import KOs and rebuys/add-ons on Stars?
Holdem Manager Support Quote
07-01-2011 , 07:16 PM
They have to be edited manually currently because all of the necessary info is not in the hand histories all the time, or the summaries. The only way to get those details currently, is to request a playing audit but HM currently can't import and process those files with the results.

hello, have a weird issue not sure if it has been mentioned...

playing the 30$ superturbo 6 max on stars. but the results are recording incorrectly in my dataabse.

for a first finish database records it as 57.66 won instead of 112.44
for a second finish it records it as 0 won instead of 60.54
for a third finish it records it as 28.83 won instead of 0

all other places are correctly recorded as 0

how can i fix it so it is importing correct results?
thanks

May or may not be an error. But for the adjust allin EV/EV $ Diff in the sessions tab, I'm not sure if somethings wrong or I have the wrong understanding of what it means. It seems like I'm running like the sun as my EV is much worse than actual winnings but when I actually check the hands in my sessions and see that hands like:

AA vs KK Allin PF
JJ vs A5 vs 55 PF is a negative EV diff meaning when my hands held it showed later on as if I 'sucked out' on the hand thus maybe resulting in the EV being off.

Not sure if its a software problem or my interpretation of this term is mistaken.

We are working on fixes for some stars tournament types. Most of them should already be included in this prerelease: http://forums.holdemmanager.com/rele...lease-4-a.html

Are you importing the summaries? You have to request tournament summaries manually: Pokerstars > Requests > Tournament Histories...
and import the data from the mail: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...and+Histories+

Then import them manually to HM.

Stars now supports the automatic writing of summaries: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+Summary+Setup

EV diff is not the same as EV - its the difference between your equity and your win/loss.
Example: your equity is 60% for a 100$ pot. If you win the pot your EV diff is -40$ because you won 100$ which is 40$ more than your equity.

If the hands are not importing the HUD will certainly not work. All ongame skins have been updating their software and changing the hand history path.

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+Betfair+Setup

Please update to the latest release - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.

Try the table finder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...r+to+Show+HUD+

Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Pick the table name in the table finder window to highlight it

If you don't see a table name listed, please drag the red X to the table and click OK. Open the Table Finder again and the list should be populated with the table name now, so you can select it.

Left-click and drag the red X to that table window

Click OK

Merge Network Hummingbird Room - Super Turbo No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t100.00/t200.00 Blinds - 3 players - View hand 1361576
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

SB: t1850.00 9.25 BBs
Hero (BB): t2000.00 10 BBs
BTN: t1850.00 9.25 BBs

Pre Flop: (t300) Hero is BB with A 5
1 fold, SB raises to t1950 all in, Hero calls t1750

Flop: (t3900) J 5 8 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Turn: (t3900) T (2 players - 1 is all in)

River: (t3900) 9 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: t3900
SB shows J A (Pair of Jacks)
Hero shows A 5
SB wins t3900.00

So first I put AJs vs A5s in a hand calc. It comes out to 64.83/27.95 for a tie 7.21% of the time. So if we take the outcome of the hand and use chillin411 icm calc, my 250 chips give eq of .058 which is $1.74 given the 30 dollar prize pool.

So to calculate what my luck adjusted eq would be, i multiplied the 3900 pot by .2795(my chance of scooping) and added that to 1950(half the pot) times .0721(chance we tie). That got me 1230.6 which would be my luck neutral winnings from this hand. Add that to the 250 I have behind and that makes 1480.6. I plug that into chillin411, along with the others players luck nuetral chipstacks after this hand, and i get equity of .2651 which is dollar equity of 7.953.

The difference of the two is $6.213. But the dollar EV differential that HEM shows for this hand is 4.30. So where did i screw up in my math? Even adjusting the payouts to 65/35 seems to only change it by 10 cents or so. I dont see why my figure is a couple dollars different than HEMs. Any help would be appreciated.
