I kept trying and found a workaround to get the hands imported by exporting the hands from HEM3 to a new folder rather than trying to use the original hand histories. Being that I have my database updated I’m assuming that a retry would just ignore the hands as duplicates. If I backup my existing database, delete the program and start over with a fresh install to try to replicate the issue will I lose everything I did today? (edited a lot of tourney results, and went session by session on cash hands doing exports to try to true up the import with my HEM3 results)

I’m happy to help but want to make sure I don’t undo the progress I made today. I also sent in a few other bugs I noticed while playing around. I’m really liking what I see so far and am happy to help in any way I can.

I appreciate that and your efforts. If you have it working, I wouldn't want to bother you to do all of that. I think it's a pretty rare issue, since we haven't seen that in the 3 years of Drivehud sales. I'm pretty sure it had something to do w/ incomplete hands in hm3.

Are there any instructions available on how to use the popup designer in DH2? I have been playing around with building a HUD but cannot figure out how to use the popup grid. It seems to be intended to build popups that you can then use to drop into any stat you want to apply it to, but I may be misinterpreting that entirely. The overview video that is out there only skims over it.

Yes, that's correct. You can build any kind of pop-up with it and then add it to any stat. There's also simpler drag and drop options you can use from the icons on the left. They aren't as complex, but there's pop-up options there which are explained in detail in DH1 articles, videos, and knowledgebase. We're still working on a series of training videos for DH2 (as well as finalizing the manual).

I can try and explain some parts in here tomorrow, and if you have any specific questions, just let me know.

I've figured out how to use the Popup designer to build a popup I would like to insert into a stat, but what I cannot figure out is how to then insert it. The drag and drop ones I have figured out already from the existing videos.

So whatever stat you want to add it to, locate it in the selected stats section on the top right hand side (to the left is the all stats section), right click on that stat, and at the top you'll see - assign pop-up. Assuming you saved your pop-up menu already, you'll see it in that drop down box, and then just select it. Click apply, and that's it.

Like I said, we'll be doing a ton of video content on how to use some of the more advanced features. I know there's a lot there to try and figure it all out.

Also, here's a video on adding population stats to your HUD. This is probably lost in the shuffle right now, but if you're playing around w/ the HUD designer, it may be something you'll want to add:

I figured that was the intended functionality but what I cannot figure out is how to save the pop up menu so that the pop up will be available for insertion into a stat. When I hit save it seems to want to save the hud that I have open. It’s probably very simple but I’m just not seeing it.

Right click on any cell in your pop-up menu you created and select pop-up at the bottom and then save. I'm actually changing that text to say save instead of pop-up with the same options, just to make it a little more clear.

Some feedback from my first sessions playing in it……

I played a tournament and was disappointed to see that none of the hands played were importing into the DB in real time. The HUD worked but there was no way to look back on hands played like you can for cash games. I do not know if that was a bug or if that is the present design but I would think that since the HUD was reading the hands they would at least show up in the tournament section even if there is no “live play” tab for tournaments. It’s also possible that it exists but I was just looking in the wrong place for the hands.

The tournaments (SnG’s) did not show up in the database for review for about 20-30 minutes even thought the tournament was completed. Once it did import it showed up accurately.

I had some issues with HUD size relative to what I thought it was when playing around on the designer, but I think that was just me not being familiar with the tools. I’ll keep tweaking.

Overall performance was fine. I’m sure I will have more feedback as I play around some more.

One piece of advice might be some sort of auto email response acknowledging that reported issues have been received. It’s hard to tell if reports generated through the program are actually going anywhere. I’ve sent in a handful and have not received any feedback from anyone.

Ty for the feedback! All of your hand data is imported in real time. You wouldn't have a HUD running if this wasn't the case. If you want to see the data in your tournament tab, you have to right click on any report and select re-fresh. The live play screen you're referring to has a known bug for tournaments right now. It's not importing that data, only cash games. We're adding a second live play report in the tournament tab, but both live play reports from the dashboard and tournament tab will have live play results from both.

I think the issue you're referring to is the same thing. You just have to select refresh. You probably noticed it because if you switch between tabs, then it will show up, but it's all in your DB instantly as you play. When the live play screen has the tournament data, it will be more obvious.

1. Does all DB including my custom hud and all setting auto import to DH2 ?

2. Do i have to save any setting of DH1 before installing DH2 ?

3. After installing DH2 can i modify my already custom hud which i have made ?

4 . Please give some details how to filter any building language and create any stat in DH2

2) No, but I'd recommend backing up from the backup settings in DH1 just to always be on the overly safe side w/ data.

4) We're still building some tutorials on this. Waiting for a couple of bugs to be fixed before we release content on that. But essentially to create one you click on filters, load/create filter, and the second section down is build custom stat or filter. That's where the stat/filter creation language is and once you build a syntax you can save and name it.

This is a new tutorial on how to use the R&D section to analyze your data and build custom analysis R&D's. We'll have a whole video series on how to use this more in depth, as there's a ton you can build and use in this section. This is the first place I'd start to understand what it can do:


I'm doing some analysis points myself, comparing solver theory to actual results in small stakes games. I've been gathering some data from various 2+2ers and looking at how close GTO solvers are to real world results. The R&D section makes this super easy to do, and to look at a ton of major data points quickly. It's been pretty eye opening honestly.

Yes, ty. I've seen a bug in the hand export as well in DH2. Can you right click on the hand, export as raw hand format, and send it to support please? I'll have someone address it. As a side note, I asked about an update w/ your HUD issue. I'm still waiting to hear back, but I'll pass that on to you soon. The team is super swamped right now and abnormally slow with responses.

Is there a filter/stat to see how much rake I'm paying?

When this issue is resolved will it correct on its own or will we have to delete and reimport? I’m wondering if this might explain some of the result differences between my HEM and DH2 DB.

I just watched the R&D video and played along live in my DB and I noticed that the hand results for the C-Bet in a single raised pot is including hands where I 4-bet preflop. You may want to check if the filtering is working properly. I can send info in if needed.

Click on the settings button - rakeback tab, and create a rakeback for the site you want and set it at 100%. You can then add that stat to any report by right-clicking on the report and selecting it.

It's site specific in that case, but when you re-import it will resolve. I don't believe you'd have to do a stats rebuild in that case. But aside from that, I think there was some issues w/ the original hands you had, and that was causing the initial import issue.

I've not seen that. Did you have any other filters set (you can see them at the top of the R&D section)? What sites were your hands from? Maybe it's related to some older hands you had on a site. Something abnormal is up.

It appears that the latest update (1.6.8.3973) has broken the Asian Hand Converter.

Edit: Rebooting computer fixed it.

I only imported my ACR hands rather than try to rebuild my entire HEM db that goes back to 2004. I don’t think any filters were set but I will play around some more and see what I can find.
