What a bunch of racists voting out Rocksroy instead of privileged white Romeo. Then on top of that, Drea and Maryanne were both forced to play their idol in a spot that no white person would have ever been forced to play it. The idol, is supposed to be played AFTER the votes, not before. They had an open discussion and after that discussion if they wanted to use their idol then they should. Not a surprise what went down with chief white racist Probst calling the shots.

I believe that is impossible. My understanding is there are 6 pieces of paper, and only 1 of them says you are safe.

Probst said at start of the merge it had become 2 safe scrolls out of 12

Maybe it's gone back to 1 out of 6 in this split tribe format, but if so it wasn't explained to the audience.

Either way they are a few seasons away of having a totally deadlocked tribal with the amount of advantages they thrown in (and people hoarding them)

Race conversation aside, Drea would have been quite foolish to not play her idol in a spot where only four people are up (and three more advantages in her back pocket)

Maryanne would then play hers 100% of the time knowing she has been thrown out as the backup

Then would have been a revote between Tori and Lindsey with Tori going, so as played ends up the exact same way.

Essentially the splitting tribe into 2x5 in the final 10 is a load of bollocks (along with having a gazillian advantages flying around)

This is why I thought Drea was going to steal Maryanne's idol and then play it. Claiming racism got in her way of playing her best game.

Omg when people pull the reverse racism card like that it drives me absolutely mental. And when Jonathan calls them out they both start reeeing at him. They created an entire arc of wokeism that wasn't there at all until they brought it up.

Okay I'll call it right now - one of the black women wins. It's an agenda now. Plus, if there are three black people on the jury it's totally obvious all three will automatically vote for the one remaining black person. It has nothing to do with how good they are at the game. And that sucks IMO.

Cook Islands was a great season.

I don't understand how the game plays out from here.

First, the tribes merge back together and the first group now hears that they probably voted out Rocksroy because of unconscious bias.

Second, everyone remaining knows Drea and Maryanne basically can't ever vote for each other going forward, so that's an unbreakable duo. However, targeting them seems like a path to being canceled - how could you even broach the subject for a while now?

The whole thing sucks.

Hopefully the next episode begins with a public apology from Mike, Hai, Romeo, and Omar for voting off Rocksroy.

This is my problem with it. Basically whether intentional or not, Drea just let them both coast to the final because the implied issue now is if you vote them off you're a racist. So basically the white people are now forced to vote among themselves. She basically rigged the rest of the season, which might be a strategy, and if so, it's smart - but it's completely wrong that it could even happen IMO.

for some reason Jeff thinks the show is best when there are tons of advantages instead of just solid gameplay which this season has had a fair bit of. The rare big move with a HII used to be awesome because it was so rare.

Would have been awesome if at the end Jeff said, "I'm sorry Tori this ends your time on Survivor. But on the bright side... you still get to be white."

She was going to be fine with the vote if the gay Latino was sitting on the jury like she thought was going to happen. I'm left wondering if there is something wrong with me that I'm not all sad that Tori got voted out...you know, from a solidarity perspective.

And don't get me wrong, I'm sorry Drea can get triggered and feel these feelings of 'oh my gosh, They're out to get us'. Whether it's a feeling of persecution or unworthiness, or whatever it is...she's completely worthy...or if she's not, it has nothing to do with her skin color. I have no idea of what it's like to feel those feelings. And whether we like it or not, it's our society that has contributed to the feelings.


BUT... of Omar, Hai, Romeo, and Mike it was Mike who didn't want to vote out Rocksroy.
