Hell of a lot of luck now on a modern day Survior season

-Who's on your starting tribe both in terms of personality and challenge abilitty
-Shot in the dark
-Idols
-Journeys, Advantages and disadvantages all over the place
-Boot order on other tribes (someone who could have ended up being a close ally being eliminated pre merge/swap)
-Tribe swaps
-Post merge 'small group' divisions
-What post merge immunity challenges come up
-Who wins immunity

And thats just off the top of my head. Returnee player seasons ramp it up even more when you throw in all the pre existing relationships and reputations

Very old school Survivor is comparable to a multi day poker tournament but now we are fully in hyper turbo mode

The entire point of the game is to get people to not vote for you until FTC and vote for you then.

The winner is the winner. "plays best" is subjective and irrelevant.

It's nights like tonight that I dream of Survivor being more like the Genius. I need to see something shocking happen out of nowhere, and someone other than Aubry somehow takes it

I am really enjoying the live finale making a return

The way they keep teasing the firemaking challenge I can't imagine that the fans voted for anything else

I thought that too in real time but I just assumed they'd be bringing Jonathan out right after and have them stand there together to build the suspense. Turns out, NOPE. Lol.

My guess before we get to watch the jury grill them.

At least they found some editing to make it look like any of them can win. Maybe should have done more of that during the rest of the season.

Christian/Rick/Emily group should decide the winner, and I think they're irl friends with Aubry

Whoever wins (and it's looking like it'll be who everyone thinks it is) , Christian is the star of the season in my mind. Hope we get to see him again.

I forgot that Ozzy just does whatever Cirie tells him to do otherwise I should have nailed this.

I can't believe we are only going to get a 10 minute reunion here. I really would've thought the finale would be the first 2 hours and the reunion discussing the season would be the final hour. They somehow left only 10 minutes for the post season discussion, which is always my favorite part. Disappointing but not surprised, Jeff just kind of always does the wrong thing anymore.

Pretty solid season.

I knew it had been spoiled before episode 1, and I had read (I forget where at this point) that Stephanie had been the one who spoiled it. Makes sense now.

May be time for Jeff to retire from Survivor and run for Congress
