Every great Survivor season has a villain

Borneo - Hatch
Marquesses - John Carrol
Pearl Islands - Fairplay
China - JRB
Tocantins - Coach
HvV - 10 of them
Philippines - Abi Maria
Cagayan - Chaos Kass
DvG - Angelina

A season full of 18 nice guy game bots would be dull as f***

Those people actually impacted the game though. Tori is completely out of the loop given the last vote and even Mike made a comment that she was just digging her own grave. That ******ed stuff she told Rocksroy was just painful to watch.

She's a therapist in real life and describes herself as being quirky, warm and self-aware.... Imagine booking a session and getting her in front of you. I wouldn't last 5 minutes.

Once youre on the outside of the numbers, everything you do is going to be described by the people in the in-group as “digging your own grave”

The bar for villainy has dipped pretty LOW if Tori is a villain.

I get the inclination though. She is on-screen talking negatively about other castaways (gasp).

I mean, other than most women being villains on 2p2. Unless theyre physically fit bores or docile hot chicks.

Exactly, my point was that you can't be a villain if you're not impacting the game in any way. But seems like you're agreeing with that statement anyway.

She's only been to three tribal councils, the first two she was a target and (to some extent) saved herself by throwing the boot under the bus

Give it time. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see some Abi Maria / Sugar energy post merge as people fight other taking an obvious 0 votes goat to the final 3

That's if she makes it out of this weeks episode of course, but Chanelle seems to be way more enticing early merge low hanging fruit option to take out.

I think in production's mind, the negative outcome is that you're making 6 enemies by stealing their immunity.

The problem is that all the negative feelings that are coming are being aimed at the twist/production - everyone seems to understand why Erika or Rocksroy would smash it and doesn't hold any ill will towards them as a result.

Pretty sure he's just faking to be gay so he can get on the show. I know as a middle aged straight white male I have no chance of getting on the show. Might be gay or trans so I have a shot at being selected.

I think he made reference to relatives living in the Philippines who were going to see him on the show and realize the truth; it's possible they don't see him regularly or he can put on the face for the week they visit or whatever.

I'm guessing it's a lot different coming out in the Philippines than it is in the U.S. It might even have ramifications for his relatives.

He's great at getting his ass kicked on a weekly basis. Last week he thought he was controlling the game and then ended up having to vote out his closest ally from the beginning of the game. This week he tried to control the votes to get Romeo voted off and he got his **** kicked in again. If he sticks with this Mike/Jonathan alliance he can get to the end but will he have earned a victory or is he really just along for the ride? Hai has potential for sure but at the very least he is currently being outplayed by Mike, Omar, and Drea. Get your **** together Hai!

Ye'p clean Chanelle boot in the end which is the safe and steady option.

Straight froward episode but expect the 7 to implode from within next week now. Only so long players like Drea Jonathon Omar and Hai and 'shield' each other

You know any potential mens alliance is dead in the water the second they showed it in the previews lol.

I think Drea is in a decent spot and she could have two idols soon. I'd make Mike or Omar the favourites to win after this week though, Hai had a slightly negative night with Romeo clearly not happy at him.

Mike is getting the dominant social game edit Erika should have got last year.

Whether he is being set up as another 4th or 5th place fallen angel (Like a Janet from s39) remains to be seen

I'd wager that the reason she didn't get a dominant social game edit is because it didn't exist.

Her social ability was praised in numerous contestants exit press and was at least in part shown on the island within the episodes by confessionals and at final tribal council

She also won in a landslide vote despite having a weaker physical and strategic/big move game than the other two.

She was just massively under-edited, like almost all female winners. See below

Any thoughts on why this is?

My gut feeling is that Omar is going to win because they're always making it look like he's about to get voted out. Plus they haven't shown us a lot of him yet, like they're saving up for a bigger edit. My two cents, probably wrong.
