Shocked that anyone thinks season 2 lived up to season 1. Had some great eps, but season 1 was on a whole other level.

I just watched both seasons for the first time in the last ten days. I would rate the seasons pretty equal with s2 being slightly superior.

I don't have too specific a reason. Though, combined with E3 Pickle Rick's comment that he abandoned his daughter on a post-apocalyptic world, I thinking the world we saw may have been Rick C-137's original world.

It was explicitly that world. Morty takes Summer there intentionally, and then the family there has a conversation about it.

I wasn't talking about the "Kronenberg world" we saw created in season 1.

I'm saying "Mad Max world" we saw in S3E2 may be Rick C-137's original world which he destroyed and abandoned his family on.

Of course, that means all the members of Rick's family we've seen so far aren't his original family. They're just substitutes he used along the way. The "Kronenberg world" episode showed that Rick is capable of doing this very casually.

I realized why this show is my favourite right now. I tend to pick apart shows, even ones I really enjoy. This show can't be picked apart. It is just silliness (very well written) from start to finish so nitpicking it would be absurd, I just sit back and enjoy the ride.
