I've always wondered if in other countries people do American accents or pronunciation.
Like when the dude today says Cuuuuuhhbaahh and Peaaaar-Uuuuuuh. By the way I find that annoying.

But if the answer is Montgomery, Alabama on a Russian game show... do they say it in a southern hayseed voice?

Tucker Dunn: 8200-4201=3999 (2x = $27,600)
Liz Kuster: 8400-8001=399
Janna Seals: 6200-6198=2

Another close 3rd throws it all way. Could have wagered 2200 (or less) and walked away with 4K and the title.

I thought the clue was hard to parse. I made the island mistake which took me towards island nations near Greece.

Are the Jeopardy contestants generally so stupid because of the American education system?? It's embarrassing how dumb most of these people are.

To make things even worse, she works in a library and the category was Book and Authors.

Passed opportunity to go for it on late DD. But that's standard. Sadly the underbetting seems to be standard of late.

Seemed like really good knowledge. What a waste.

Becca - Good on the buzzer, apparently top notch range of knowledge, but like many before her, no clue that it's a wagering game.

I paused it before the wager and asked my girlfriend what she thought were the chances she underbet. She responded that she didn't know, and I said if she has a vag then I'd say pretty good. Then comes the wager. Of course, the wager from second was also awful, letting in third, but it worked out splendidly. The wager by third, also bad.

That's a good way to get that Hawaiian disease

And another game of "lets not even try to win" on Friday. Yeesh. Its contagious.

Debb Johnson: 9200-5000=4200 (BARF)
Melanie Glassco: 7800-7700=100
Peter Guekguezian: 17600+801=18401

What a terrible game as the low scores attest.

7200-4400-2600

Just an 800 clue left. What happens?

2nd guesses Wrong-why? Still in range even if 1st gets it correct. Can get locked out if wrong and first gets it right.

Now it's 7200-3600-2600

1st guesses wrong. Could have stayed in lock-tie situation-- better than a guess?

Now it's 6400-3600-2600. Not that it matters but third also rings in to take us to FJ with

6400-3600-1800. This includes guy in 2nd missing a true DD (4600?) because he forgot to phrase it as a question.

To top it off, 2nd is the only correct FJ and wins 7198.

Third has to ring in with a guess.

I think all three players today were on the spectrum. What an awful and uncomfortable game to watch.

Yeah the two challengers were aspy as ****. Wtf with adding those superfluous "Junior"s to answers? And even Alex got creeped out during the interviews.

Also noteworthy, champ found all three DDs, shoved on first two, bet huge on third, missed all three (one because of phrasing), but wound up shipping it anyway. Willing to give him a pass on that final Q, heat of the moment and all.

"Barbara, Id like to say you've gotten off to a slow start... but you haven't gotten off to any start at all"

Savage.

Peter true daily doubles and doesn't phrase it in a question. Today was an all time dumb show

Peter was super awkward in his interview on Friday. "I make up languages with my friends....excuse me, my acquaintances".

I felt so bad for the guy, like he doesn't have any friends, he only has acquaintances.

Melissa was a Jeopardy 10, can't wait for this weirdo to lose.

Recently I've noticed Alex saying "Ninteen hundred and ninety two" a lot vs "Ninteen ninety two"
It irrationally bothers me.

Was sure the weird lady tonight was going to underbet FJ. But our weird champ way overbet from 2nd, was more worried about keeping 2000 than winning apparently.

Obviously the right play. Too bad for him he didn't pay attention to the category.

And yeah, I thought scarf-girl was going to underbet FJ as well. Her stupid cackle might become unbearable if she goes on a run.
