I watched it with my dad, told him Colby could bet enough if he was super confident in the beatles to beat 3rd by a dollar, 1401 if not. I wonder how much value there woulda been in that bet now just in keeping Blair on.

Also my dad no longer believes I understand how to wager on jeapordy.

Yeah, he seemed like a decent player. Must have felt pretty lucky to get the win. Could see it leading to ToC run.

Worst part was knowing she was the one who Alex said "Someone's happy" when he announced the category.
Loved the category, I think it's a fair assumption that a 20 something guy wouldn't be the biggest Beatles fan... doesn't bet it all.

There have been many incredibly bad wagers on FJ but this one must rank as one of the worst ever , there was no complexity to the decision , bet enough to cover first place and hope he misses , it is mind boggling how anyone bright enough to qualify for Jeopardy can make such a dumb choice .

It was satisfying considering she lucked into first win after making an awful wager. Was fun watching her face go from elation for getting FJ right to seemingly quick realization that she was a moron after the wager was revealed, even before the leader's total was given.

Colby, we hardly knew ya.

Not sure exactly what any of these people were trying to do with their exact bet amounts:

10,200 (9,401) Cover bet is 8601, what does the extra 800 buy other than leaving more room at the bottom on a triple stumper and frequent overbets from 2nd and 3rd?

Shakespeare seems to be a notoriously tough FJ category, why not 2601-cover 3rd and still win on a triple stumper (opens up WWW as a win at cost of WRW and RRX as losses)

9,400 (5,000) choose between 801-2999 OR 3401-again given the category, mabye take the smaller range and bank and a tough clue. 5000 seems random.

6,400 (5,000) Why bet? Certainly no more than 400. Seems like was trying to pass 1st.

Such an awful game all around, from the moron seeming like he'd never watched Jeopardy before -- I'll make it a real daily double, regularly failing to phrase, trying to buzz in on his DD -- to the poor DD wagers, to missing easy clues (Limburger chese, Schindler's List DD, that David Chase made The Sopranos), to three poor FJ bets. We were wrong about Colby being a decent player. He gets Schindler and he wins, but he also could have won by wagering better on the first DD after he had owned the category and Alex even pointed it out.

Yes the silly soap opera DD was sure to be a softball. ah for AJ or Arthur and a good shove in that spot.

No comments on Alaine pounding the buzzer and looking confused on his DD?
Has he ever seen the show... and that lean the whole game, lol.

Also more than once he answered a question right, and put his buzzer away and just stood there like game over.
I want this guy back on the show

A couple of weirdness degrees more and he is a celebrity jeopardy character. I like how Alex just let him try to ring in on his DD question.

Woman gifted win after third's horrible wager trumped her own on Wednesday comes back on Thursday leading in FJ with scores of 10900 10600 10200 and wagers 3000. Unfortunately she got it wrong so it didn't look worse when she lost to a 20k+ score. Always satisfying to see people who win with an awful wager then lose with an even worse wager.

3,000 was clearly a random wager. Don't mind the ideas that someone went "small", but not from first. IF she really wanted to wager small it should have been really small to make 2nd or 3rd get it right.

Much rather 2nd or 3rd go small here. Shove from 3rd makes no sense.

Wow, what a "great" DD wager tonight.

12K vs. 8400 vs 7000. 1st wagers 4500 as time is set to expire.

Was he
A--trying to stay in first and overbet by 1,000 or
B--trying to cover and underbet by 301

I'm going with A.

Havent watched FJ yet, expecting more wagering hijinks.....

Guessing he was trying to secure a lock and did the math wrong.

Missed a super easy DD question but got bailed out in FJ.

I don't know that thinking was involved in the DD wager. His 1300 wager earlier was also awful. Definitely got bailed out on an easy FJ.

Oof, game is a runaway and the woman in second doesn't guess at the last clue, which would have made it not a runaway had she gotten it. To make it worse it was a clue that had only 26 possible answers.

Fewer if you subtract the letters used in the previous clues

Yeah, and she was the only one to get Final Jeopardy right too...

i was yelling at the tv to guess at the last clue too. Current champ seems to have good knowledge base. Could be on for awhile. I think he's a bit of a dweeb though.

Too bad that J! isnt recorded within the same week. Could have been a whole 'nother "P" clue from current events.
