Wow. Could it be possible that the rich lady (dont remember what capacity she had) that shes in on it? I mean when they all watched the news about the senator she said he would be gone in max 2 days like she KNEW that, so shes definetily is very eager to get Brody into office. And we also now have a diplomat working with the terrorists. Could this be a big inside US job? If so, I probably hate this show, way to hard to pull of in a believable way and not get it into a **** fest ala 24.

It also seems weird that Brody would know about this diplomat, atleast his name/where he lives, I thought terrorists usually operated in a way that no one knew anyone

EDIT: And I assume Brody saying "tell Nassir its over" means he WAS turned and now dont wanna be part of it anymore?

I doubt she's in on it, but the news did say that the guy they're getting rid of wanted to launch strikes + surveillance against [some middle east country].

Yes, thats why it was so suspicious IMO.

Whoo, completely nailed that Brody was part of a larger plan, was still turned and would be pushed towards political office.

Fwiw i dont think there is any reason to assume the minority leader who hosted the party is involved in any way. Brody's return was pretty certain to end up pushing him into the limelight, there isnt any reason to read into the timing any further than it being a good coincidence at this point for whatever the end goal is for Brody, likely with the timetable moving faster than expected.

No, it was the opposite. He was "the head of the armed services committee and was an opponent of funding unmanned surveillance and drone strikes in the middle east."

Oh and the ex wife of Walker needs to be dumped in a deep dark hole somewhere and forgotten about for warning him imo.

theres no need for a cia agent to be present while a civilian is on the phone with a terrorist?

Good episode, seems Carrie really fell for Brody and if anything Brody's been using her for info. Brody and his family back together like nothing happened.

So all those people were hanging around a Mosque for morning prayer, in the dark? kinda weird.

Yeah...except to prevent exactly what happened.

Ive basically been watching under the assumption that carrie and brody know exactly what they were doing and are in complete control of their actions, doing everything for a reason. I still think thats true for brody, but carrie just seems to be crazy now.

What do you think is weird exactly? Muslims pray at dawn as one of the five daily prayers.

Also fwiw it almost certainly wasnt a coincidence he ended up escaping toward the mosque at morning prayer time.

what happened is she was talking to him for quite a while, and then turned around and saw carrie creepily standing there and warned him.

if carrie wasn't there, she probably continued the conversation.

in general, obv i agree the cia agent should be there, but in the context of this show it seemed like carrie ruined it.

whatevs.

I think the entire show we will always wonder whether Brody is good or bad. It will never be clarified, maybe not even at the end. He will get office. He will do good things, he will do bad things, but as viewers we'll never know what his real goal is.

Are the good results just adding to his coverup?
Or are the bad things the result of miscalculations and bad timing?

Awesome ep !

I noticed the American Flag on Saul's house was placed exactly like the one on the terrorist's house. Don't know if I shoud read to much into it.

Who was the bald guy at the end of the episode that Brody was talking with? I know I've seen him, but can't remember him for some reason.
11-21-2011 , 01:36 PM
Its completely dumb results orientated thinking to say that Carrie should have just ignored that Walker's ex wife was talking to him on the phone alone.
11-21-2011 , 01:39 PM
AFAIK, he was just the guy who handed Walker the $1 with the key to the storage and location

Weirdly nowhere seems to have the actor playing the Saudi Diplomat credited.

I assume you mean actor name, if not he was the guy who gave the storage key to Walker at the junction when he was begging.

I think it was hearing his voice that did it. She had been talking to Tom that whole time with no response from him. The first time he spoke (said "Helen"), she started freaking out and blew the whistle.

The bald guy at the end is some Arab diplomat who is a part of the terrorist plot. He gave Walker the money with the instructions on it. We don't know who he is, yet.
11-21-2011 , 02:24 PM
i still think it's a little weird that as skeptical that Carrie is overall, she isn't still doubting Brody's honest story telling at the cabin; I mean the guy just blew through a lie detector without a sweat, she doesn't think he could lie to her face just as well?
11-21-2011 , 02:33 PM
she got some of that brody dick though
11-21-2011 , 02:56 PM
Glad they went this direction with the show.

Also, the show was really short last night. Most have been in the 53-57min range, but this one was 49min with the theme song and "previously on..." segments.

I lol'd when Carrie said "you guys took 20 years to catch Whitey Bulger" to the FBI liaison.

I liked how everyone last week started going crazy when it was revealed Brody was not turned and how the suck sucks for going that direction, then the this weeks ending showing that he still might be turned. Excellent writing.

Why did the diplomat call Brody, Walker? Only thing I can think of he hadn't yet saw who it was although it looked like he had

He obviously thought it was Walker.

I'm really relieved the writers didn't mess it up. I still don't like the sniper attack but at least they didn't mess it up with Brody.
11-21-2011 , 03:35 PM
Why would you plant Walker in DC as a homeless guy rather than in some remote area of the country until it's time to strike.

I find it strange that they would be in the pitch dark to the point that the FBI couldn't see anything what so ever and wound up shooting a couple of them. I don't think it effects the story all that much but I do find it some what unrealistic.
