Hell, Godfather Part II even builds in a specifically designated intermission point for the audience (though I'm not sure whether the Paramount stream of it flashes that language on fade to black before moving on). Not that a person needs to see GF II to understand any of The Offer, but most people who watch the original are going to want to watch the next.

i once had a vhs box set of the first two movies, but cut into sequential order.
The Godfather 1902-1959: The Complete Epic
did a quick search and looks like HBO has aired it recently under a different name with some extra stuff

i've watched it so many times i now often mentally predict the wrong next scene when watching the movies and reading the scripts in my head

I have such a hard time imagining that chronological Godfather I/II could be a good way to do it. The young Vito stuff is tremendous, but as a stand-alone act one, it just sounds dissatisfying.

you do have to endure an extended stretch of background and drama from the start.
flip side is all that stuff being out of the way early and a more condensed viewing after that
cook for a bit, strain the fat, and everything else gets better

But...I'm not watching the young Vito stuff just to get through it. That stuff is great. It just isn't itself a fully fleshed-out story.

I mean, chronological Godfather sounds like less of a downgrade than, say, chronological Pulp Fiction, but still.

Is for all mankind any good? Premise peaks my interest, but wasn't even aware of its existence upto today.

Exact same thoughts. I like space stuff in general so I'm not a tough sell, but even some of my non space camp friends tell me they like the show.

you can go to reddit plex shares its 7$/m
but that's a really boomer way to go about it. Torrenting is really easiest and most convenient. Just follow new releases every morning.

Schumer on only murders in the building is TERRIBLE.. still watchable but damn i hope they stop showing her as much in the later episodes.

The Old Man fell steadily every episode and was ultimately a major disappointment.

I think Paul Walter Hauser as Larry Hall, a real life serial killer, is doing superb, deep, multi-dimension acting in the Black Bird TV miniseries (2022) (apple tv and other places) . So far 4 of 6 episodes have been released. It is superbly done and based on a true story. Recommended.

I was too annoyed having to listen to Larry's annoying voice so much on the latest episode.

Love to hear this. Was hooked on the premise/trailer (increasingly rare these days) and will start as soon as I finish up The Bear.

not caught up yet, but the old man had so much promise and such less promise, and all at the same time

The Bear is the best show of 2022 so far. Incredible character development.

i didnt watch black bird yet - maybe tonight/tomorrow

instead i watched a film its on netflix i think "The Gray Man"

Ryan gosling and chris evans

good no holds barred action (its a mix between bourne supremacy and the hitman) good film compared to ratings, i mean it isnt the best story in the world but great action
