A couple year ago I read an article about comic characters that would be great film franchises and firestorm was like number one. Honestly, I get it now. Pretty awesome base lore-wise and powers that are kinda badass. Its basically the human torch with schizophrenia or whatever.

It really isn't though. There's so much more to his powers.
They hinted at it already talking about the F.I.R.E.S.T.O.R.M research: matter manipulation/transmogrify. Think being able to change anything into anything else (with no change in mass). That could come in quite handy

I am cool with developing him further, that said that power screams OP. Good superheroes don't have godlike powers, except if they are blue and decide to leave the galaxy as they are bored with humanity.

I'm mostly bored with the show. It's been pretty procedural. It's almost a running joke that they can't keep anyone in their jail cells. All the who wants to bang who, love bs that cw mandates has been awful. At this point I just ff through the date and relationship stuff. Also hate how they've written barry. He's such a pussy. I want the cocky, fun loving, free spirited flash that cracks jokes. This flash sucks.

I hope they introduce Wally West and make him Kid Flash at some point.

Wally is the superior Flash and it makes me sad that they've basically ignored him since Barry's comic book resurrection.

Anyways,

I think this season of the Flash>this season of Arrow and don't think it's debatable at this point.

Get used to the personal life stuff, it's a super standard superhero scenario s. I didn't mind any of it. The show is just fun.

If you can name stuff that happened pre Ra's then I will reconsider.

I remember Boomerang being cool and the Flash crossover was great. But the Ra's event happened on episode 12 or something. They looked for Sarah's killer and did other equally uninteresting stuff.

Flash has been a consistent 8-9/10 every episode.

I do like Arrow more lately though. It knows what it is and Flash is still figuring things out.

Hint: more GRODD already.

I don't think we're getting a Grodd story until Season 2
Each time we get a little bit more to the Grodd puzzle, and this season already has a lot to work out with potentially two time-traveling RF's

Is this show worth checking out? I watched the first 2 seasons of Arrow and give it a solid 7/10 but I don't feel compelled to keep up with it .... will prob watch season 3 all at once later.

The Flash is a ratings monster here, averages 2.5 MM viewers

For a 1st season this show's matured faster than Arrow and has tons more potential. I like them both but more excited to watch the Flash now than Arrow but both are still great.

For those complaining it's mostly been a procedural .. not any more so than POI's 1st season and look at POI now. It's almost completely serialized and the nature of any show based on comic books means you need a villain of the week storyline for the most part. I've got 0 doubt over time we'll see villains crossing over through multiple episodes.

The way they built up Grodd , he won't get his ass handed to him in one episode I would guess.
