Man I hope not. I want Walt to be revealed as a POS with no redeeming qualities.

he's already revealed to have shown extreme loyalty to Jessie. I say that's pretty redeemable.

walt is an anti-hero and the protagonist. he may be a scumbag, but i think the writer's will give him a respectable death ala tony montana.

the way they end each season with him as a total badass, i doubt they'll give him a whimpering exit.

I don't watch the show as closely as many here so I may be off base. But I don't see any loyalty to Jessie or anybody else. I hope he dies with a full understanding of the damage he has caused broken and alone. That would be just imo.

That reminds me-- the use of Denny's in BB is actually not product placement; Vince Gilligan just really likes them.

Well no but they might travel a few miles down the street if they didn't want it to be the exact same Denny's.

On a side note, I noticed for the first time ever how many F Denny's there are on a recent cross-country drive. Seriously, there may be more of them than McDonalds in some parts of the country!

tony montana was a pos with no redeeming qualities.

walt may still have a few redeeming qualities left but it's pretty hard to argue that he hasn't become a pos.

Now that's a broad definition of "Respectable Death" if I ever saw one.

He kills his best friend, gets shot at by his half naked sister, who gets killed moments after by a Bolivian thug. He's pumped full of cocaine, and moments after gets pumped full of bullets, all the while cursing incessantly and acting like the egomaniac prick he is.

Man, I respect that dude.

I know this is kind of nitty, but it seemed like there was a continuity error in the first ep of S5 when Walt Jr. rambled on about the bombing being on the news and all the tv stations, then flips the tv on, and says, "SEE?". But on the tv, it looks and sounds like it's a basketball game.

OK, let's battle nittery with nittery. It's a football game .

Emmy nominations just announced. Cranson, Paul, and the show obviously nominated again. Esposito, Gunn, and Mark Margolis also got nominations.

Yeah, the video editor's did a decent job of fading it out as much as they could. It was hard to see the screen clearly, but you could definitely hear it was a sport.

A Mark Margolis win would be amazing.

I'm surprised that it didn't get a writing nomination, considering that Mad Men alone had three. But with the 5 acting noms I can't be too disappointed.

Giancarlo better take it down, who is his competition?
07-19-2012 , 09:36 AM
Aaron Paul, Jared Harris, Peter Dinklage, and 2 guys from Downton Abbey.

Michael Slovis nominated for cinematography. Definitely believe this is one of the strongest aspects of this show, if not the strongest.

I noticed this as well, but when you turn the TV on it doesn't automatically go to the channel you want on. So that could explain it.
