Don't know how that's any kind of spoiler.

It would mean he doesn't die... not that that's huge.

This.

Even if Saul lives, his character will have changed so much from when we first met and fell in love with him that the show just wouldn't work unless it was a prequel.

So knowing that Saul does not die, doenst change anything for you?
So any upcoming scenes with Saul in or related too doesnt change for you knowing that he lives...

I am new here, but is this the level of thinking to be expected... Im not trying to be pro at tv watching, but I was hoping for a little more.

As has been stated, the spin off could be a prequel. There could both be a spin off and him dying in BB.

And if he died in BB, that doesn't mean they can't make a spinoff as if he never died or as if he never even met WW.

I mean you'd have to lock yourself in your room and shut off your tv and all electronics for the next few months to avoid not hearing bout the plan for a spin off. It's been reported everywhere the past 2 days. I know there are lots of hermits on this site but still. It's even on the BrBa facebook page for christs sake.

I guess you'll have to continue on in your search for a BB thread that meets your standards.

The first thing i thought when I heard of a Saul Goodman spinoff was that it was a red herring, and Saul Goodman gets killed in the season. It would be amazing if AMC levels us that hard.

Maybe this will cool things down a bit:

Is it really going to be the intro to an episode? Awesome if yes.

As far as I know, yes. I haven't watched a Simpsons episode in 10 years, but I'm watching this one. At least the intro.

All,

(from FB)
Saul Goodman (Better Call Saul!)
What if at the end of Breaking Bad they drop Bryan Cranston into witness protection and that's the beginning of Malcolm In The Middle?
04-15-2013 , 07:07 PM
Why would Walt be put into witness protection?

Is that the one where he says "guys like Saul don't die, they are like cockroaches(i think he actually said scorpions if i remember correctly) that they continue on as the rest of us die." I think i saw this comment at the end of and episode on amc recently. It was after the Walt godfather episode killing off the guys in prison.

That's the one. Although I'd spoiler it in case people don't want to hear Vince's thoughts on Saul, in case they might be considered spoilery.

I'm not so sure i agree. I think its more that the writers creating these characters deserve more of the credit. They are all memorable characters because the creators made great characters. Its hard to screw up excellent characters and writing. These actors are fortunate enough to be on a show done very well. Casting was good, but not the reason imo. Here is my list of favorite characters in order, and brief description on whether the actor or character made the part.

1. Walter White- This character is a dream job for an actor. As Bryan Cranston once said "its a dream job/character for an actor, and i'm lovin every minute of it". Not exact quote but something like that. Its like Tony Soprano, the character is so awesome its prolly hard to screw up. Taking nothing away from Cranston, he did a very good job.

2. Jesse- again the character is awesome, hard to screw up such a cool part. I like Paul and did a good job, but the character made the man again here.

3 Gus- actually was tempted to put him first. But since he wasn't on since the beginning hard to put him ahead of characters i fell in love with. Character is great, but the actor may have made the character on this one. Maybe it's 50/50. I mean look at tuco, was pretty good character/actor. But never reached anywhere near Gus level. And i think that is because Giancarlo made Gus so scary.

4. Jane- even though she was brief on the show, she left a lasting impression on me. Walt watching Jane choking was very dramatic. I don't know if it was because she was so hot in a dark way. Or if because she was so well written, or perfectly cast? I'd say the actress made this part. She was really good in a part meant to be small. Her leaving the show pissed me off. I think she would been great to keep, especially if they gave her more sex scene's.

5. Mike- character is great. Actor did good job but the character made him.

6. Saul- great character, writers made the actor.

7. Marie- I actually really like Maire. She'd be higher if she was involved in more scene's, especially if involved in more of the darker/dramatic killing scene's. She had some issues like most people(klepto). But she was a good doting wife and sister, and just in general good. 50/50 on this one. Both character and actress are good.

8. Hank- i didn't like him at the start of the show, but grows on you as the show went on. Was an alpha male douchebag in the beginning. Beating the crap outa guys in bars to let off some anxieties. And being ****ty to his wife that was trying so hard to take care of him. But you then see he has a big heart/good man. I'd say character made actor but close.

9. Jesse's drug dealing friends- great characters and decently cast. 70/30 writers i think.

10. skyler- didn't like her most of the show, least favorite character. Her only purpose was to make thing harder on Walt. And to watch mr chips become scarface.

11. Junior- seemed like decent guy, but not really important on the show, except to show Walt had a son.

Completely disagree with 5 and 6. I think Bob Odenkirk is perfectly cast. I also think his delivery is fantastic.

I also think Jonathan Banks is perfectly cast for his role.

Obviously these characters wouldn't be any good without good writing, but I think they both fit the part so well that they are able to own each character.

I also think Junior is more important than you give him credit for.
