Breaking Bad: season 5 Breaking Bad: season 5

Todd taking liberties that weren't his to take/flying too close to the sun imo

I thought the episode was pretty average (for BB; it was still miles above anything most shows could hope to produce) and then the ending blew me away. This show is so ****ing good.

The heist made me have flashbacks to being a very stupid small time criminal and coming within a hair's breadth of getting caught. Even though I knew they would get away with it, they did an amazing job of taking a fairly tired trope and making it as exciting as possible.

gotta love a good heist...

Why are we assuming the kid is dead though?

We need a montage.

Even Rocky had a montage.

MONTAGE!!!

Me when people think the kid isn't dead

the kid is dead because breaking bad doesn't rely on cheap gimmicks like a 13 year old kid surviving a shot to the chest

The two x-file episodes I randomly chose to netflix tonight guest starred Hank (as a federal marshal) and Bryan Cranston (as a family man turned fugitive b/c of disease). I'd seen the majority of the series years ago, but can't remember many of the episode plots much less actors. Must be my deep subconscious memory desperate for moar bb

No, it's not.

This is.

Does anyone else think that Skylar will see news about a child murdered/missing near the train tracks and associate it with Walt? It would certainly strengthen her beliefs that Walt should not be around the children anymore.

Speculation of anything to do with the kid is pretty much wide open. It came so out of no where and is a big game changer. We don't even know how many bodies are walking away from that scene yet.

FYI, Gilligan and another writer or two on BB used to write for Xfiles.

Todd = GOAT

Haha, the promo for next week:

Spoiler:
Jesse: Are we in the meth business or in the money business?
Walt: Neither. I'M IN THE EMPIRE BUSINESS!

When he asked Todd if he clearly understood that no one else was supposed to find out about this heist... that was the kid's death sentence. Todd was just playing his part.

I have a feeling Jesse is going to make this connection somehow and it may be the final catalyst for a Jesse/Walt showdown.
It was actually Jesse giving that whole speech, Walt just asked for the confirmation.

Do tire tracks last long in the desert? Otherwise if they don't spot the tarantula it will be pretty easy to link the death to the stop of the train.

Rolled my eyes when I realized the plot of this episode was going to be them robbing a train but they pulled it off pretty well. Also after the magnet episode I am ready to accept something like this much more easily.

First thing I thought when I saw the ginger was "wow matt damon"

awesome episode.

The humor in this episode was top notch. Hanks obvious uncomfortabless and his awkward response was great. The shot of the engineers straining to push the truck and the other guy not even pretending to try was fantastic.

I thought Todd was going to die getting off the train because Walt left it too late.

Edit: As mentioned, I was also tilting about the location of the car being very near the bridge.
The guy that showed up in the truck was not random. He's one of Saul's henchmen. He was present when Beneke had his accident, and he also pretended to be the EPA dude that convinced Bogdan that his car wash is polluting the soil.

I thought a conversation about whether or not the two engineers die if something goes wrong would have been good.

Glad that mike finally mentioned lydias attempted hit.

Walt jr. is pissed without his breakfast.

Lasagna is not breakfast, bitch!!!

Some of you guys are so bad at this show.

the guy in the truck that's blocking the train is not a random. He's the same guy who pretended to be from the EPA so the car wash dude would sell to Walt, and the same guy who, along with a giant black guy, intimidated Ted into writing a check to the IRS. Before Ted was killed....I mean, paralyzed, by oranges.
