observer- That there exists symbolism and foreshadowing doesn't mean everything is symbolism and foreshadowing. That's where you're going off the rails.

Define 'significant' and lay some odds.

The other stolen behaviors were little quirks, kind of nice little nods to the audience. Wearing a green jacket isn't really the same thing, so what Walt wears a similar jacket to one of the 7 or 8 Jesse wore during the show? Jesse's main jacket was that collarless black one, but mostly important here: wearing a jacket was not a "Jesse thing".

The crust removal was mentioned as a little humanizing thing for Crazy 8, so Walt doing it was clearly him mimicking Crazy 8. Jesse, but also everyone, wears a jacket sometimes because that is a completely normal way to dress. It's not a nod to the audience in the same way where the attentive viewer will go "ahhh, where have we seen crustless sandwiches before?"

You can't do a callback to something without bringing it up in the first place. Walt and Mike order drinks, and then later Walt changes his order to drink like Mike.

Walt and Jesse both wear appropriate outerwear, and then later Walt continues to do so?

I hope for Vince Gilligan's sake all of observer1's predictions come true.

Why would i have to lay odds? According to most of you there is no symbolism. I should be layed the odds. I'm the crackpot making **** up right? Significant enough for Vince Gilligan to give each character their own color. Then throughout the series show how and why their colors change. That the boy driving the remote control car that had a yellow shirt on, and a yellow car, was purposely wearing yellow for symbolism purposes. If he's not showing symbolism that you should feel confident in the wager. Let the backpedaling begin.

p.s. it's pretty significant when a creator of a show gives each character a theme color.

You don't seem to understand what backpedaling means either. That post is backpedaling. Lay some odds.

Surely most of you have heard the clever BB joke below, but some of your lamer friends may have not.

Finn: Hey dad
Walter White: Hey son
Finn: I have a joke for you! Knock knock...
Walter White: I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS

(cue drums)

Yes, yes. I have a lot of time to kill in these exact :05.

Wouldn't Gilligan look like an idiot if these were all just nods? that's alot of friggin nods. I cut crusts off sandwiches like someone else, Nod/wink. Oh i drink my drinks like someone else now, Nod/wink. I drive a volvo just like someone else, Nod/wink. I wear an army jacket(even though i'm a scientist who always has dressed preppy/nerdy/cleancut) now. Nod/wink, just a coincidence hehe, Nod/wink. I form my bacon for my birthday when someone always used to do that Nod/wink.

Walt's gonna get whiplash from all these nods. It's not that i take the habits of my victims, it's just a nod to the audience of former cast members. Oh ok but Walt "Why are you the only cast member giving nods? And why are the nods only to people you murdered so far?" Walt "coincidence is all"?

It looks like you're the one going off the rails bro. It all makes sense now, Walt wears army jackets that look like Jesse's jacket now because it's appropriate outerwear, lol. I think he woulda looked more badass(and had more appropriate outerwear) in leather! Btw, i'm not saying the Jesse one is for sure, just that it does look like his jacket some.

Where exactly is my backpedaling? I never said i would lay odds did i? Do you have a reading comprehension problem? I said i'd bet my whole bankroll, but didn't say i'd lay odds. Changing the bet on me is not me backpedaling since you seem to not understand backpedaling. No wonder you can't pick up on the foreshadowing and symbolism of the show. You may be lonely but poor soon son.

I'm enjoying this banter guys, but please lets get the thread back on course. Once you stop coming at me/insulting me the nonsense will stop. I'd appreciate an apology, but don't demand it. Let's move on gentleman! There's plenty more symbolism to discuss! Or should we talk about Walt's outerwear and nods some more?

Bottom line, i didn't insult anyone, you guys started acting jerky, i let many insults go for man days, then finally responded as you chose to not stop. Tread lightly! Just kidding guys, seriously, let's call a truce and stop derailing this thread, seriously.

The funny thing about Walt using a towel under his knees when vomiting in the toilet is that he never saw and probably never heard about Gus doing it.

I'm getting back on track now guys. Sorry for my part in the nonsense. Seriously, apologize to all.

The more i look at Walt next to Jesse in that pic it's not just the jacket. The WHOLE LOOK is Jesse. He's got his hair like him, he's got the mustache and goatee, and maybe even the ****ty shirt is Jesse. Walt used to wear buttoned up clean shirts. I don't know bout the glasses though? Is that a victim we don't see yet? Has Jesse ever worn those type of glasses?

After Walt kills Saul and starts advertising his legal wares on bus benches, this thread's going to look pretty stupid.

I feel like this thread has become a bizarre type "laugh at a picture and you lose" thread -- but different.

I mentioned this way back and was kinda shot down. Still seems significant to me but will defer to the experts.

Did "Dids" really retire? Please someone confirm this. I haven't had a drink in 25 years but if this is in fact true, it is cause to celebrate.
