Wasn't that Karen's "to be" husband from Californication?!

Lizzy is the worst. I hope she and Tom kill each other.

Berlin likely person or an organization imo. I do not think these guys are working for Germany.

Also guy jumping out of window = predictable. WTF, tie these ****ers down.

This, im still hoping Lizzy is somehow a spy that plays the daughter for whatever dumb reason and she gets killed hopefully in a hurtful way. That girl is such a bad actress its not even funny (who's she banging?).

Last few episodes mediocre in my book. Mediocre, predictable writing with one of the big revelations they worked half the season towards. Idk, expected better I guess.
ALL Spader scenes still great, Lizzy scenes meh, Tom scenes picked up a bit from very bad to mediocre, Tom-Lizzy scenes horrendous.

Im still enjoying it enough to keep watching for now. Did you feel these episodes were the high point of the season?

Shocking evidence in the safety deposit box a photo of Red suffocating her father?

Doubt that, but I'm confident it has something to do with the secret her father was going to tell her.

Man I'm surprised there isn't more BL love in OOTV. I enjoy this show immensely. Tom a good guy? Huh? Red a bad guy? Huh?

Theories?

Since when is Red not a bad guy?

I think it's always been ambiguous. That makes the show interesting.

Red clearly has his own agenda with some tie/debt that involves Lizzy. He's more a Han Solo type character than a villain though.

Tom being a "good guy" after killing his handler for very little reason is pretty lol.

In terms of evilness Red is clearly more evil than Tom, who was just doing his job.

How is it ambiguous that Red is a bad guy? He is a bad guy. That doesn't exclude him from doing good and doesn't necessarily mean he can't help Liz. He's a murder, a thief and a whole bunch of other terrible things. He killed Liz's dad even. Tom is definitely not a good guy either, but he's not an international super bad guy like Red and for all we know he may have a good reason for getting close to Liz.

There's a difference between ruthless self-interest full blown teh evil though.

Mercy killing. Liz's dad wanted Reddington to kill him because he was terminal. That's why he put Red in the position of having to kill him in order to keep him from telling Lizzy.

I'm so tired of liz being a complete ****ing moron. The tom lizzy conversation was eye rolling bad. How can a character be incredibly intelligent and then turn into a slack jawed drooling idiot? Did she fall on her head in an episode I didn't see? I'll stick around until the end of the season I guess.

Lizzy is the worst.

I agree Red is his own kinda guy. Tom definitely murdered a few people in cold blood so **** him.

Also the broken thumb thing was definitely ripped off of Person of Interest. It's likely that it wasn't originally in POI but it's definitely not new.

Red FTW.

Broken thumb to get out of handcuff trope has been used a lot. It was even used to horrific effect in Hannibal during season 1.

I'm really annoyed by the Tom story. I'm really annoyed by the "what is Red to Lizzie?" story. No one cares about that stuff, in this show, in my opinion. This show is at its best with intrigue and James Spader perfectly reading line after line.

I think Red is definitely a bad guy, but a bad guy who uses mutual interest in positive ways. It's a little between overt bad guy and the "bad guys" CMAR is talking about. I'm pretty convinced the pictures are going to be something related to Lizzie's childhood. They didn't have all those scenes early in the series for nothing. Tom is definitely not a good guy.

And DeuceSeven, the reason why Lizzie can be so stupid and so smart is that she's in the FBI...badumbump!

This. They could find another way for red to work w/the fbi then get rid of lizzy. That'd be a fantastic show.

I would definitely agree that Lizzy is, by far, the weakest part of the show and the Tom storyline is laughable (do spies suffer from fancy play syndrome?) while Red is the show.

The problem would be giving him motivation to work with the FBI that isn't completely self-serving and mercenary. Currently his motivation (mostly) being to help Lizzy softens the character considerably. If he's just straight up manipulating the FBI (which he obviously is a lot anyway) then we move into even darker anti-hero territory.

hahaha

Red is definitely manipulating the FBI to settle his own personal scores. It just happens to work in a beneficial manner for both sides. The FBI hasn't ever really understood the extent of his manipulations (though I'm sure they are at least kind of aware of it).

I wouldn't have a problem watching this show if it were pure procedural (a number each week), but this show is cut from the same mold as POI so they're trying to expand the storyline (in pretty terrible ways).

Next week looks really good.

How many times has Lizzie said "You're a monster!" to Red? And how is it possible her delivery gets worse each time?

I love how Red doesn't lie and sometimes is able to answer wo telling truth or lying. That's a great skill to have irl.

Picture reveal was lame.

How many times has Lizzy said, "I'm done. We're done." this season? I have a feeling this will not be the last time she says that.

Also, keep in mind that tonight is THE FINAL EPISODE.

BEFORE THE LAST EPISODE.
