Given that Wayne was **** tonight, and given that Lee looked alright in his 1st half minutes, I thought that Lee would come in at PG and Luke would play some SG in the second half. Guess not.

lol people in the season thread saying LMA > Love, like seriously wat ?

The premise that Love's numbers dont mean as much because the Wolves havent been a winning team is stupid. The numbers he's putting up lately should be changing peoples minds about him, but not yet apparently.

yeah, Luke at SG & Lee at PG would be fine too. Ellington is as bad as Wes when his shot isnt falling. Lee plays very good defense and aside from our real PGs, he handles the ball better than the whole rest of the team. This team needs more ball handlers on the floor and Lee is a pretty good one.

You take Love off that lineup and they're a #4-5 seed in the NCAA tournament.
Williams was the best player in college basketball last year.

Love is averaging 37/16 the past 4 games. We would have been crushed by the worst team in the league last night without him.

I know that doesnt compare to NCAA basketball in any way though. The statement I made about the NIT was in jest.

Yeah, I assume anyone who says "so and so NBA couldn't even beat [college champ]!" realizes that's not ever true but is using hyperbole to make a humorous and entertaining point.

FWIW. Listening to the KTwin this morning, they said Rubio's surgery went well and are very hopeful that he can be ready for opening camp next season.

Anyone else watch that game last night?

We were just over-matched. Love wasnt hot - Boston's defense had something to do with that. Basically no one else played well. The Wolves' team defense was poor. Boston plays excellent defense.

Other than that, I dont hate the Celtics like I do the Lakers, Heat and some other teams that have bandwagon fans show up at Wolves games, but some of the Celtic fans that were near me were obnoxious, rude and low class. They seem to want to be there to see if they can piss off as many Wolves fans as possible with their overly enthusiastic cheering of Wolves missed free throws while their team is ahead by ~15 or 20 points and similar douchebag stuff. There were a lot of small kids near me. I was sitting next to a super huge, fat, loud, obnoxious Cetics fan and his whiny bitch. I had to shove him out of the way so I had room to sit. He kept swearing loud enough so that everyone within 30' could hear him, and that included a lot of kids, and my daughter. After about the 4th time or so I told him to please watch his language because of the kids. He started to act tough at first, but he didnt swear anymore after that. There was another huge, fat Celtic fan right in front of us wearing a huge green, Dr Suess like hat that was blocking our view of the floor. He was fine when I asked him to take the hat off, but he was as obnoxious as the guy next to me all game over mundane plays.

Really, who the **** are these people who show up and cheer for other teams? They obviously are not all from Boston (or LA or Miami or NY....) I mean, if you really like another team or player, that's fine, but dont be a douche about it. Get a life.

Oh yeah, Vanilla Ice: I was never into his stuff at all (I hate most rap), but I didnt hate his little halftime show - it was ok.

OKC

yeah, OKC would not do that. Variations of that have been discussed on Canis and we'd have to give way more to get Harden.

I know OKC wouldn't do it now, but I suggested it last May and you thought we were giving up too much and another poster didn't want to do it saying he didn't want a guy who averages 12ppg.

When I brought it up we didn't have the DWill we just had the #2 pick, essentially the same thing.

wtf is this **** about laker fans all your doing is making assumptions. Lakers have lots of fans from LA who travel to road games

not to mention they would obv have a bigger than normal fanbase in Minnesota since they are the premier team in the nba and THIS IS WHERE THEY ORIGINATED FROM not everyone can watch a loosing team year in and year out like you.

i agree with miami fans tho

It kinda/sorta makes sense as an apples for oranges trade (we have too many apples, they have too many oranges). But outside of Williams and Love we have no assets what-so-ever that a team like OKC would want.

Its not the same thing at all anymore. Now that we've picked and seen DW play, the value of him has changed considerably. That's what happens once GMs see players play in the NBA after they're drafted. DW is a very limited player who has some potential, but I dont think his value is as good as it was before he started playing in the NBA.

Also, after getting to know a lot more about Harden, I've been convinced he is a very good SG that could start for most other teams in the NBA. He's better than I thought he was.

If there are 5,000+ Laker fans flying to MN to watch a regular season game here, I'd be shocked. And I'm more disappointed with their behavior than who they're cheering for.

Bad game. We need some more good players and less Wes. Webster is really disappointing me too - not at the level of Wes, but he makes some really bad/dumb plays basically every game.

It sucks that McFale traded away this year's 1st round choice, but at least we can look forward to seeing Rubio, Pek & Love next year, and free agency could maybe be fun if Taylor/Kahn dont butcher it/cheap out.

Future is still bright. Will only lose Tolliver, Randolph, and Beasely.

I think with an offseason working with Adelman and Co. Wes will be a legit starter next year. Martel will be a year healthier. Barea will be less glass-like next year. Bright future

Pretty obvious it isn't the same trade anymore, that wasn't my argument.

yeah, go Jazz!

I'd like to re-sign Tolliver for a reasonable amount. I'm pretty sure his bad stretch was injury related. He does a lot of things fairly well and should be cheap.

adelman seems pretty elite but that would be like the GOAT coach job, sure would be nice but i'm not going to expect it...dude has no handles and can't shoot, he seems athletic and thats about all hes got going for him
