Dr Saturday studied this and no, not really. We're equivalent with 4 or 5 other teams this decade (offenses in the top 10, defenses in the bottom 10 of FBS, or vice versa). So over ~110 teams over 10 seasons, it's basically like a 5 in 1000 or 1 in 200 event to have this wide of a disparity.
