ESPN just reported that Nick Saban said the game is "probably for sure" (?) at Cowboys Stadium in 2012.

There's basically 4 teams that are gonna give us serious problems imo. Michigan State, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Ohio State. All those teams have veteran QBs with pretty good offenses (although I'm not sold that Iowa has reloaded on the OL yet). Outside of those matchups we should be ok vs everyone else. I'm hoping we can win 1 out of 4 against those problem teams and win out vs the rest, or win 2/4 and only lose 1 out of the rest. Either scenario has Michigan finishing at 9-3 which would be epic.

I know you bet the seasonal under 7 on Michigan. You should pretty much just accept the fact that your money is toast on that investment. A minimum of 8 teams on our schedule will be getting denarded.

2009 vs the big 10 + ND

PPG against:

ND 34
IND 33
MSU 26
IOWA 30
PSU 35
ILL 38
PUR 38
WIS 45
OSU 21 (if you watched this game, OSU could have scored 50 points if they wanted to, but didn't want to embaress RR and Mich)

so pray tell me, which good teams did Michigan Step Up for?

2008

ND 35
WISC 27
ILL 45
PSU 46
MSU 35
PUR 48
MINN 6
NWU 21
OSU 42

so pray tell me, a defense that gives up 24 points in one half to ND, a defense that gives up 37 points to a non big ten non D1 school, how the **** are they going to stop big ten teams?

they won't, history has shown they will give up 30PPG in the big ten + ND games and will go 2-6 in the Big ten again.

I pray the defense shapes up, but I fear it hasn't and wont

i have no doubt that michigan will score points, that works against UMASS, but even teams in the bottom half the big ten have some defense.

I hope we beat the bad big ten teams 63-40 and go 9-3. Don't get me wrong, I hope we go 12-0, I'm just realistic about it.

anyone actually want to comment on my post or just nitpick my english?

when all you can say to that entire post is lol pray tell me you are basically saying "ya hip you are right but we need to mock something"

lol pray tell me

so again, how is what I am saying wrong? who has michigan stopped in the last 2 years and 3 games on defense that was a big ten/ ND team?

Even Utah put up like 24

for comparisons sake, here was the sweet 2006 season

ND 21
WISC 13
MINN 14
MSU 13
PSU 10-
IOWA 6
NWU 3
IND 3
OSU 42
USC 32

notice how against iowa and NWU and MSU we are giving up like 14 points a game and not 30.

the offense is fine, but if we give up 30 points a game to Iowa and NWU and MSU and Purdue we are going to lose more than we win.

I don't know who threw that pass. That man from 2009 is dead to me.

Watch from the 1:05 mark to 1:08 to understand why this year will be different.

Obv the 2006 points against have a large amount to do with the 2010 points against because all the same players are there and the 06 and 10 teams in the big10 are equal.

So until Michigan has a top 10 defense you refuse to root for them? What's your point?

There's a difference between not rooting for a team and not being surprised when your team gets beat and being frustrated about being the only one able to see it coming.

We gave up 26 pts to Ball State in 2006 imo, which got left off of your list.

So being frustrated 4 weeks+ in advance is reasonable?

ya, but i was only using big ten + ND

cause if i put up ball state, i have to put up EMU which was like 13.

the mac and schools like that aren't relevant to how Michigan has done against the Big 10 and ND in the last 3 years.

And yes I'm rooting for michigan, I root for them to win every game. as TC said, there is a difference between rooting for a team to win and objectively realizing the defense is just as bad as last year.

remember, we luckboxed a win at ND last year and were 4-0 before the wheels fell off. I think offensively we will be more consistant, I just hope that translates into 6 Big Ten wins

what are you talking about, did you see Michigan play UMASS? They didnt' do anything the whole game. It's pretty reasonable to be concerned about playing big ten teams after watching that defensive performance

Do you not understand we don't play a legitimate program until Oct. 16th? Pretend you're on vacation and have a cocktail, enjoy the good times and maybe they'll turn into great times. SHEEEEEeeshhhhhh.
