Knew the outcome as soon as this happened

I mean we just can't keep shaking up our offensive staff year after year. We need a little more stability there.

Pep needs to stay in his lane and stop leaning us towards 4-5 wide bull**** when we clearly don't have the personnel for it

I'll worry about scheme when there aren't guys running wide open all game

This.

Scheme is not the issue at all

Yeah that's true

I can sit here and hypothesize about a healthy Speight all year... but Pass Protection being issue #1 on the team all year, you can't treat those as realistically as you could other years.

At least we get to reap the fruits of the rebuilding year in a year where we travel to Notre Dame, Sparty, and fOSU

I just wish there was a way for Michigan to win and for our idiot fans who are "concerned" about Harbaugh to eat a dick in the process

Harbaughs down year is 8-4 and people cant wait to LOL at him. Sports fans really are amongst the dumbest people on planet earth.

This is spot on.

Very good perspective.

But to what zimmer said, what you can do is just say what I say to most casual observers: “honestly I just know a lot more about X sport and I don’t like talking about it much really.” Usually get called a douche but it does the trick to shut up the casuals.

But sadly it will never be better, a big guy in the local media tweeted multiple times boring narratives

“1-5 vs rivals, has to do better”
“Can’t win as a underdog”

But that’s the thing, this season is the first time I saw the fanbase for what it is, a lot of really dumb irrational fans. Call me naive! But you gotta remember not everyone gets things like we do in here Michigan Football: HARBAUGH!

yeah the true counterfactual of this season is what Speight + the post-MSU power game looks like

Time to earn your money, Greg Frey

have to imagine one or both starting tackles next year are (albeit talented) rFr’s. to jack BRIAN’s angle, I’ll go

junior Bredeson/Onwenu > sophomore Bredeson/Onwenu
Ruiz >> Kugler
James Hudson = Mason Cole
Filiaga/Steuber > JBB

It will be fascinating to see how much of this year’s OL issues are on the talent, how much was coaching and whether it’s true that the line calls just aren’t good. I would expect a true sophomore C to struggle with the calls and Stephen brains Spanellis repping at C makes me a bit nervous.

Another fun brain game:

What 4th year guys will be asked back and who will be shown the door?

No way should Harbaugh be on the hot seat yet, but it's my understanding that he was supposed to get them back to top tier. Saban hasn't lost more than 3 games at Bama since his first year. Urban has never lost more than 2 so far at osu in 6 years. Oklahoma has lost more than 3 once this decade.

Michigan isn't a recruiting hot bed like Texas. They need Harbaugh to be something like Charlie Weis thought he was. He needs results in the next two years. Right now, he's John-Cooper-esque.

Burdman believes you are casual and uninformed and farts in your general direction with an absolutely astounding lack of self awareness.

At least on Tapatalk App the Instagram post you linked is showing up as a beauty pageant evening gown -- but yes, MGoBlog has as their top header that Speight is taking a grad transfer next year and will not be back with the program next year.

So it's Peters and McCaffery next year with Malzone in reserve.

Malzone will be a 5th year?

Makes sense, not really surprised, tad bit surprised at the sudden timing. But not entirely sure how grad xfers work, maybe he wanted to get his name out there quickly?
