yeah my facebook looks like a big **** show.....pretty good chance we lose to Sparty and IU at home as well.

Well, I kinda expected to lose but pretty sad effort... got completely outplayed but we clearly just gave up pretty early in the 2nd half.

Burke is the only one that can do anything against good teams in the half court (though Stauskas played reasonably well tonight). That makes defense especially important. We have to defend, rebound and get easier shots in transition.

Our pick and roll defense is absolutely terrible. Our bigs suck really bad at hedging. I think we have to try to play a lot more zone. Normally that kills rebounding, but we're so out of place defensively off the pick and roll that our rebounding is terrible anyways.

I'm sure it will never happen, but I'd really like to see Vogrich play some minutes. He plays defense and rebounds well from the 2. He can obviously knock down shots too. He's a much better option than Spike, and we won't get killed defensively when he and Burke are in the game together (like we do with Spike/Burke).

Huge LOL at the whole the team is holding GR3 back. He is just invisible offensively against good teams and he is completely lost on defense most of the time. He just runs around and gets completely out of position regularly. It's a general problem that we're having right now, Burke and Stauskas do it too, but GR3 is particularly bad about it. It leads to a ton of open 3 point looks, which happened way too often tonight.

Thank god we're through this gauntlet. Despite how poorly we played on the road against good teams, that is over and we still have a really good chance to finish strong and secure a top seed. We need to take care of business at home, and we've done that as well as anyone the past year and a half.

GRIII is just so passive on both ends and his shots are not even close right now. Needs to attack and try to get to the rim.

My overall attitude on the game: Meh, **** happens.

Sometimes kids just lay an egg. At the tail end of a super tough stretch into a very hostile environment. They fell behind just like they did at OSU, and just didn't have the energy to get back in it last night. After Burke's 3rd foul, the whole team kinda gave up.

Let's not forget that MSU is a really damn good team. We played like ass, just gotta bury the game film and get back on the right track.

Even the refs gave up at a certain point. That "and 1" call on the charge/pass was one of the worst calls I've ever seen.

Was at bar trivia so I wasn't paying 100% attention last night, but worst call I remember (besides the Burke charge on Appling) was the no-call on McGary where he got the offensive board on the left side, spun to the right side, got Payne(?) in the air, drew body and 2 arms of contact, and no call was made. Near the end of the first half I believe.

I think that was Stauskas in the 2nd half, but yeah that was really bad. It lead to a 3 on the other end where Tirico commented that the place was gonna erupt if it went in

It's different. After IU and OSU losses I thought we played pretty well given the circumstances and I was ok with those outcomes.

This time we completely laid an egg. For a college basketball team to go through a 35 game season and not have a game where they absolutely come out flat and look awful is incredibly rare. This was the first game that we've had that look to us.

Because of the schedule and the circumstances, it's explainable in my mind. Tough to get up for 4 big games in a row. Important thing is how we rebound from it. Cruise through the easy games we have left and win the tough ones at home.

True all valid points I guess it's just being around so many Sparty fans and it's got me more pissed then usual, I was with the wifey so didn't see it all but we just looked like we got bullied and out physical'd really
