Lol what a nightmare. That game was so depressing given what Michigan had been though over the years up to that point.

I really don't like how we matchup with Michigan State. Much different than Ohio State, but they can create problems for us.

I'm not quite sure how we defend when they have Payne and Nix in the game. Is GR3 able to play man-up on Payne or do we have to try to go with 2 bigs in the game?

I think Burke will be able to get his way against Appling on both ends. Burke is just quicker and has better ball skills on both ends. Our offense will have to run through Burke as I think Harris can do a pretty good job on THJ.

Not really expecting Stauskas to contribute huge unless he can get some open looks in the corner, especially in transition. I think he'll be a liability defensively against Dawson and MSU's athleticism will hurt his chances of penetrating with the ball at all.


I should feel good about this game, but I just don't. Somebody make me think it's gonna be all right?

Not exactly a strong argument to be made there. Betting market ain't perfect but its most likely better than you or I.

I think it's pretty neutral for us, match-up wise. The Payne/Nix combo is tough, but I think we should be able to execute very well offensively. State shouldn't be able to put Burke in tough spots like Indiana and Ohio State can. The big key is taking care of the ball. State is extremely opportunistic wrt steals, but that's something we do well. They don't prevent you from shooting the 3 pointer very well, so hopefully THJ and Stauskas can get open regularly.
