The head coach's #1 job is to reach inside his players and motivate them however they must in order to make them better. If you're a flaccid penis who reads postgame speeches off note cards, people don't want to run through a brick wall for someone like that. Have the best Xs and Os in the league - it won't matter if you arent pulling 110% out of your players. I don't know about everyone else but Im tired of the country club atmosphere that is the direct result of having a nerd for a head coach.

Players aren't complete morons, a lot of them know football pretty well and will respect a coach that is really smart.

Good to be smart and all, I'm just saying I'm pretty tired of having a nerd for a head coach and then we all end up wondering why the team gets bullied off the field half the season by Buffalo and NY. I think Sparano was a good motivator but ran a stone age offense. Need a mix of motivation and 21st century thinking.

People that pay close attention to the NFL know about Reshad Jones because its their job. Fans in a poll? They watch their favorite team every week and have basically no clue what is going on with the other 31 teams, lel. Nice citation tho.
Fantaz, I've missed you. Could we declare peace? We both want what best for our Dolphins (including better coverage from the safety positions)

That said, does anyone dispute that this team needs to go CB in the first? But is Apple worth it at 13? (yes plz) Alexander? (plz no) ...

I don't agree we need DL in the first.

And Elliot at 13? I'm not a fan of spending first-round value at RB. For every Gurley we can name, we can easily be reminding of 20 Ki-Jana Carters, Trent Richardsons or Lawrence Phillips. Further, What does it matter if no one can block for Elliott?

In the second, I'd love to see Whitehair or Ryan Kelly drop to #42. But I'm increasingly doubting they'll be there.

Personally, I like RB C.J. Prosise in the third. Fumble issues, but is big, has a top gear and is lethal in the passing game.

Hello sir. I'm here. I really enjoy the draft (almost more than football, I think). Did you see that Reshad Jones made the Pro Bowl and was named Co-MVP with Jarvis Landry?

it seems rational that you want to arbitrarily decide which miami dolphins topics miami dolphins fans talk about in the miami dolphins thread on the two plus two forum

CB is the responsible pick, but Elliott if he is there would be ballsy

Adrian Peterson led the league in rushing last year with an average offensive line. IF he's a top talent, he makes people around him look better than they are.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins don't/didn't have even an average offensive line. More like 28th-32nd somewhere.

Personally, I'm all set on Alberts. Constantly hurt, costs a ton. He can move to guard, or he can go and the team can take the cap hit. Leave Tunsil at LT and let him grow. Bushrod has already said he's excited for his move to guard. The incumbent guards can all go (or sit). Thomas, Douglas, Turner. ... take care. None of them can play. ... Heck, newcomer Urbik is a bum.

James at RT is just a guy. An OK pass blocker who offers very little in the run game. Plus, he's injury prone. There were times last season that I swear his true weight had to be under 285 last season. He looked like a tight end.

I didn't love the move up 3 or 4 spots to take Caroo. That screamed of panic, to me. It's absolutely not a position of need, and another interior lineman or a decent safety could have been used on the lost pick. I guess it will be worth it if they're planning on letting Landry walk and Caroo turns out to be a stud.

I see a lot of pundits giving them an A. But depending on how Xavien pans out at corner (a true X factor, no pun intended), a huge IF, I'd give their draft a B/B- grade.

I bet $577 to win $577 on under 7 total wins this year so I always have that. Now I am just profiting off of this bull****. Reshad Jones still best player on team

I really thought this would have been a good bet. Or if you lost, it wouldn't be this quick.

As much as I love my Dolphins, I'm just not excited. This team is on the good side of variance, but is capable of losing to anybody. I just don't see this team winning a playoff game (even getting there is unlikely).

Now if they beat the Ravens next week, then maybe I'll reconsider.

They could win next week and still lose their last 4 games.
