I hope you, and everyone else who was pessimistic about the Packer's chances this year ITT, can go back and say the Packers didn't get lucky and that there chances of doing something this year were never as bad as you thought.

No, free money isn't free. The bettors voted and they once again decided that the Packers are better than what this thread thinks of them.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. We beat a 3 win team (that was already eliminated from playoff contention before the game), at home, by 1 point. If Rodgers doesn't come back, our chances of doing anything is still almost nil.

Rodgers is still not cleared yet.
Cobb is still not cleared yet.
Eddie Lacy might be out with an ankle injury.

Rodgers could carve up this Dallas pass D throwing with his left arm. Pat McKenzie best do his job and clear Rodgers to play this Sunday. Dallas is weak, coming off a road Monday nighter, and have the only D coordinator in the game more out of touch than Capers.

That 3 win team isn't much worse than the teams remaining on our schedule. If the Ravens beat the lions this week we are in like Flynn. If the lions wins this week we will be in as much trouble as everyone has been saying we are in.

I decided Rodgers won't play the rest of the year. I don't believe this doctor nonsense. Flynn taking starter reps again? They must not be confident in Rodgers being ready.

Injuries killed us like no other this year. Good news is we will still be NFC North favorites next year.

I did wonder that since he didn't have surgery and therefore had team doctors making decisions, there is a nonzero chance that Rodgers can play on Sunday but the doctors don't clear him.

You're kind of like Red Sox fans circa 2000 except you're endearing rather than insufferable

If I didn't have such a strict 'don't bet for teams that you are a fan of' policy I'd snap take that +500 for the Packers to win the division.

Hmm... Being in 3rd at 6-6-1 behind two 7-6 teams (against one of whom you're 1-1 and 0-1 against the other with the remaining game on the road) makes +500 pretty reasonable. Reasonably tempting, but there is still a bit much of the situation that is still out of the Packers' hands.

Add that the Lions schedule is ridiculous--Pigeons and Hobbits at home, Viqueens on the road--and stars still need to align in a fairly magical manner.

That said, LOLions.

Can you tell us with a straight face it's not justified?

I'll be honest, if you don't get a bit of a high from doom and gloom, you wouldn't be a Lions fan.

Rodgers out vs Cowboys? Shut him down for the season if they lose?

Can't see them going into Dallas and stopping Romo

Don't be so quick to write off Matt Flynn on Sunday. Dallas is coming off a road Monday nighter in which they couldn't stop Josh McCown. We have just as good receivers and RBs as Chicago. Lacy will play. Sean Lee is out. It all comes down to Capers defense and in the end that is what will cost us again.

Some of that might depend on what Detroit does on MNF. What if GB loses but then Detroit loses on MNF? Then they'd need Detroit and Chicago to finish 8-8. Lions finish vs NYG, at Minny. Bears finish at Philly, vs GB. Lions go 1-1, Chicago 0-2, GB 2-0. Not likely but still a chance.

I'm already mad knowing we will finish 8-7-1 while Det or Chi finish 9-7 and we didn't tank

Season's over. There's no pressure on Romo. Just keep sending 3-4 guys and he has all day to throw. Only chance was with Godgers outscoring them but they wouldn't let him play.
