i realize we can't just give up on Perry because of his stuff, but im cool with sending him down and leaving him down there the rest of the year regardless of how good he might do. he really needs to figure out why the hell he sucks so bad.

Inge feels better about his swing than the stats would suggest. He points to a .266 average in balls put in play that ranks 18 points lower than his career mark, and 39 points lower than his mark last year. He believes he's making solid contact at a usual rate, but getting outs from it.

"It's been a weird season," Inge said. "Aside from home runs, I feel great with everything else. ... When I'm putting the ball in play, I'm hitting well under what the league average is. But I feel great."
