I'm more inclined to think we get a Lacy fumble or 2. Just gut feeling.

Wow I hadn't realized Godgers had a tear in his calf:

http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2014...ight-calf-tear

That's going to feel pretty awful for him in the cold. If it can reduce his mobility to something a bit more manageable for our linebackers, that could be a real game changer. When edges are this small, even just limiting that 1 or 2 big scrambles he gets a game is big.

Now we need both of our McClains to play

Calf Tear
Quote:
Calf strains range from grade 1 to grade 3 and are classified as follows:
Grade 1 Tear: a small number of fibres are torn resulting in some pain, but allowing full function.
Grade 2 Tear: a significant number of fibres are torn with moderate loss of function.
Grade 3 Tear: all muscle fibres are ruptured resulting in major loss of function.
The majority of calf strains are grade 2.
How severe? My guess is a 1.5, definitely not a grade 3. Rodgers practiced today, took about 60% of the reps.

The thing with any tear is if you put some serious effort into that muscle group, you can tear it more. So you tend to be a bit ginger on it. He could also be a solid sack from injuring it far worse. I wonder if you take a crack at some all out blitzing early, just risk/reward.

I can't wait for the flood of excuses if we win. Rodgers tore his calf, refs ****ed us, ja ja ja ja ja ja ****ing ja. It will never end and it will be amazing.

And if the Cowboys lose, oh wells good run.
This.

Imagine the level of rustling that will occur should it be a Carolina @ Dallas NFCCG.

Admit it would be amazing to win @GB on some "REFS!"

I mean at this point, I welcome it

Rodgers made the comment after the packers-lions game that he was at no risk of doing further damage to the injury so that was one factor in re-entering the game. Of course I agree with you that he can further aggravate a tear.

Coach Mike and ARod have been vague about the specifics of this injury. Standard operating procedure for McCarthy. It is obviously serious enough that Rodgers hasn't practiced until today since the lions game. So yeah it is a huge unknown.

I believe this about as much as Murray saying his hand is now totally fine, and some of the assurances Romo has made about his back. Yeah of course they're going to say that. The players are literally almost the most optimistic about their injuries.

That said I do believe it's probably not a HUGE injury, I just want it to be slightly nagging at this point. I'll take it

Broaddus says the injury normally takes 4 weeks to recover from. Still expect him to be his usual best.

If he plays anything like the Saints game (where he was limited physically) we are still going to have our hands full.

Line shifted down another half point, hopefully Mincey is good to go. He has been our best D-Line player obviously. Hopefully DeMarcus Lawerence can show up and play with confidence and purpose. We'll need these ends to play well.

Sam Shields tweeted today that in his 5 years in Green Bay, this is the coldest weather he has ever encountered. Supposed to be in the teens at game time which would be a heat wave of sorts I guess. Green Bay is subject to the lake effect so things can change quickly.

I don't even really like the Cowboys but would be thrilled if this happened. He'll I might even tune into first take on Monday just to see Ship ejaculate on live TV.

Green Bay doesn't deserve that after the Seattle INT/TD fiasco. That was a legitimate and unquestionably game-deciding/game-ending call in their case, not a non-call and potentially offsetting penalty that didn't necessarily change the outcome of the game.

I know some like to pretend a DET 1st down would have made them a lock to win, but Dallas was playing aggressively and were a missed FG away from scoring every single 2nd half drive. What did DET do in the 2nd half? Punt and turn the ball over? Considering the **** throw on the play in question it could have been even worse. DAL failed to capitalize on all kinds opportunities in the 2nd half - a red zone sack on 3rd-and-1, missed FG, a fumble recovery they coughed up...and they still beat the hell out of DET when it mattered. DET don't rate a "shoulda won" by any stretch. They barely sniffed even FG range after the half.

But that doesn't apply to GB's situation. Between that incident, the Cowboys's last game, and their star QB getting stomped on by a douchebag we don't need any more drama or bitching. I hope it's just a good clean game where injuries and officiating don't wind up playing a major part.

Like actual football. Cold ass outside game @ Lambeau against a good Packer team, most key players are around, something of an underdog...what else could anybody really ask for in a playoff game?

lol at giving a **** what happened to GB in a week 3 game a couple years ago.

We are talking about a Cowboys/Packers playoff game, drama and bitching is inevitable. Could be the cleanest game ever and people will start pointing to non-calls that happened and Rodger's calf.

THE RUSTLING IS IMMINENT.

Ayight so about 17 degrees at kickoff? Not bad.

Free isn't going to go, I can live with it. The big area where we need some run good:

Both McClains questionable, same with Mincey and Hitchens. Sounds like both Mincey and Rolando were cleared of concussion symptoms? Excelleeeeeeeent.

Really need a Dallas win for max rustling.

Brady won, friend shook. Seattle won friend shook more. Die-hard GB friend as well. Need the trifecta!

Rodgers is definitely not 100%. Won't even be upset if we lose because there's no way we can beat Seattle if we can't beat a gimpy Rodgers.
