hmm well tbh I haven't been watching the games lately so I'm not really aware of BJ's recent defensive issues. If his D really is struggling then those moves make more sense. He'd have to be struggling pretty bad for Heyward to be an upgrade over him in CF, though. lol @ the article citing his DRS in RF as evidence of his CF prowess.
And Gattis would be a massive liability in LF...as a catcher he passes the eye test..seems pretty solid. Justin would also be a liability in RF, probably. BJ would seriously have to be Uggla-like for those moves to make sense, I think.

Yea, last time I looked the stats had him as being pretty solid at framing. Not as good as McCann or Ross but above average.
